I admit that I was one of those who wanted this cat gone, but he has definitely performed well lately. I hope he can keep it up.

    The players he outran:
    #53, starting LB.
    #24, 2nd team CB, but 4.4 40.
#38, 3rd team CB, but he was the fastest DB in the 2008 draft with a 4.3 40 and played the entire year for the Bears last year.
#37, 2nd team safety, 4.9 40, usually only plays special teams.

So, the LB that was suppose to tackle him for a minimal gain but missed his gap WAS a starter. The other 3 weren't starters, but were experienced and fast DBs. It isn't like he was racing flat-footed 4.8 guys. Only #37 had a sub 4.5 40.

Besides two fumbles by CJ, he played a good game. He had some good runs VS the starters. If anything, watching him hit the 80 yard run showed he still has the speed. Meaning keep him with the talent we have on offense. On offense its a interior and a QB we need. We have the RB , WRs and TE we need. Its up to Locker to how good we will be on offense, with of course the right play calling. CJ is still a elite back to me. HE wont get 100 every game, no RB does. When he has had time, he has made the right cut and big gain. You guys say it was against the backups, but DID YOU SEE THAT LANE? That's NEVER like that with the opposing teams starters are on the field. Minus the Buffalo game, when teams have a solid front 7, the Titans struggle to even pickup anybody? IF CJ got that type of line play on that play most of the time, there wouldn't be a debate on CJ being elite or not. Because his numbers would be high.

He did do something against their starters. He had 2 fumbles, however he was running good. He was over 50 yards and 4 yards per carry, but we had to quit running in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, because we allowed the defense and special teams to be responsible for 28 first quarter points.

When we played Chicago in CJ's rookie season, they put in 9 in the box the entire game and left it up to Kerry Collins to win the game.

Today, I didn't see more than 7 in the box. That speaks volumes. CJ should be the biggest distraction in the league. He should be the reason the WRs are only dealing with 1 defender. That's simply not the case. IN fact, its never really been like that. He wasn't doing Randy Moss any favors and vice versa although on paper, it sounds like it should have been an awesome offensive strategy.

Point is.. Teams aren't scared of being burned by CJ anymore because they don't think he can do it. Its not really a question if he is slower... Its about getting him in space... and he seems to need a lot more space than he used to. It's almost like he is running scared.
