Even if we we're lucky enough to stumble into the playoff, which I think is doubtful right now, we'd get bounced out in the first round. We have by far the worst defense in the league. We've allowed more points in any two of our games than the Bears have allowed all season. Every time the opposing team gets the ball they drive down field and score and it's usually a TD. Maybe we'll get lucky and Gray will get his S&!t together but from what I've seen so far I doubt it. I know we have the talent to do better, I mean last year we were #8 in points allowed and this year we are on track to go down in history as being the worst scoring defense in history. If that dismal record doesn't get Gray fired at the end of this year then something is wrong!

I do have an argument.

Our defense is not great. However, it has a lot of potential and a lot of young players in key positions. Holding the Steelers to 20 points is no small feat. If you actually watched the game, you'd be pleased with our defensive performance against the Steelers.

Defense is more than stats.

 

A win is a win scarecrow. I'll take winning ugly over losing pretty any day of the week.

 

Gameplans evolve around how a game is going. You have to really understand the game to know where to place the blame.

I'm like CM, I'm just glad to get the win.

 

Ws vs the 'EZ' teams: indy x2, jax x2, NYJ, and MIA
Ls vs the hard teams: GB, HOU, & CHI

Puts as at 9-7, that could get us in playoffs. PIT will likely be a wildcard team (if BAL wins the N), we own the tie-breaker since we beat them head to head.. that's huge.

I watched the game. We have one of the worst defenses in the history of of football. Stats back that up. We didn't even "hold" the steelers to 20, they scored 23 and could have easily been 30 or more.

Defense is more than stats. But you can blabber on all you want about potential and youth, if your giving up 35 points a game thats not good defense, period.

412 total yards and 356 passing yards against is nothing to be proud of...They shot there selves in the foot on numerous occasions, it's not like they struggled to move the ball against us.

none of the "Ws vs the EZ teams" are gimmies...Some of you need to be realistic. We've won 3 games by 7 total points. We've given up more points than any other team at this point in the season in the history of the NFL.

We're not making the playoffs unless our offense rises to the top of the league. We'll lose at least once to Indy and either NYJ or MIA will beat us.
