I don't think he has the size to properly play in the 4-3 defense as a defensive end. If he was it would be solely in a scheme similar to the Colts old defense where the DE's had almost no responsibility in run prevention and focus only on rushing the passer. If he was used as a LB he would have to be used in a similar style as Akeem Ayers as a blitzing SAM backer but Ayers was better in coverage then Jones coming out of UCLA.

^ J Jones definitely doesn't convert to 43, he won't last til our pick anyway, so it won't matter...I just hope one of the top 4-5 D-ends last til our pick this year...we need one

Man, I'm just not sold on any of the DE prospects this year…

Werner is probably my #1, but he scares me. All his Sacks have came from terrible teams (Murray St, Savannah St, and Wake Forrest) and hasn't had a sack since. He seems to have a good burst of the edge though.

Werner LOOKS like he could have a good dip move but I have yet to see it. Dion Jordan is a hybrid monster playing all over. Okafor is basically a run stuffing DE. William gholston has the size bit seems just a hair bit slow. Micheal Buchanan is a bit lean to me, but does some good jobs at shifting and batting the ball. Late first round riser. Corey lemonier doesn't have prototypical size to be elite. Looks like and OLB for a 43 honestly. Eziekiel Ansah.... Competition is at question... But he still awes me more than the rest

I still like the thought of taking a risk on the Florida State d-end that led the ncaa in sacks last season...he is out for this season...what the hell is his name??????

Say we don't draft high enough to get the top defenses tackles in this year draft. Say we also stay in the 4-3 defense. How do you guys feel about Daniel McCullers from Tennessee.

In most plays he is really just throwing guys around, he also shows great hustle on plays trying to run the running back down for his size. He has massive size, this is what our defense is missing someone to occupy multiple lineman at once. He could use to shed a few pounds to get a little quicker. The size and strength of this kid is amazing.

Doesn't matter if your nice or have a mean streak, all the matters is when your on the field can you make plays. Look how he collapse the pocket at 0:20 on the tape. He can get off blockers to make tackles on the running backs if they are near him. If he's too nice than we won't get the stupid penalties that are involved with players with mean streaks.
