Maybe. But we see RBs all the time step up big when given a chance on gameday. And, honestly, why not find out before blowing a draft pick?

Anyone ever hear of Alfred Morris?

    Exactly

Teams don't see the point in offering the trade. They know te titans will not pay CJ his bonus due March 5th so why trade for a player who will be a free agent?

If you think CJ is being trade you're retarded.

The market is the market. A trade is unlikely but not impossible. If CJ were to re-structure at the end of the year AND more than one team were interested, then a trade would very likely happen. An interested team WOULD trade to secure the rights to CJ.

Situations like that have happened before, and although unlikely, could happen again.

    Here's how it'll go down...

Titans: We'd like to consider keeping you if you'll re-do your contract.
    CJ: What is your offer?
Titans: We'd like for you to "test the waters" and come back to us with your best deal to see if we can match.

It would be stupid for the Titans to make any kind of offer because CJ will think he can get a massive deal elsewhere. It might happen but, most likely, he'll be humbled and a lot more receptive to a short-term, incentive-based deal. I just can't see any team out there throwing a 4 or 5-year deal at CJ.

I am surprised this hasn't happened yet.

I don't think I would want him on this team if he did re-do his contract. He dodges responsibility, is no where near a leader you would expect him to be, and generally just has a piss poor attitude. He is not the kind of guy you want around a young team.

If he wants any sort of shot again, he needs to go to a well balanced veteran team where he is not the primary weapon. Think GB, NE, ATL, PITT, SF or even DEN. I am not saying they could afford it or want him, thats just the only places I see him having success, and I use that word lightly as I believe he will probably never see 1,000 yards again.

They have too much money tied into CJ and he's not getting nearly the amount of touches to warrant playing a backup that much.

I suspect CJ has probably already requested a trade. I don't have any proof of this, buy why wouldn't he?
