LOL. Sounds like he's pretty much admitting they need new players and coaches. I.E. He has been a colossal failure all around.

lol I don't hate the guy that much. But you're a hater, so I'd expect nothing less. I just think WR was nowhere near the top of our list of needs

It's all bad. Coaches run terrible schemes on both sides of the ball. Our interiors are jokes. We don't draft difference makers. It's all bad.

He'll swing in tomorrow. He considers day after "over-reaction" Monday.

Actually, I am around today. What's the question? Do I think Munch is doing a good job? No.

Do I think it's because he's unemotional? No.

Do I blame Munch 100% for what we're seeing now? No.

Is he partly to blame? Of course.

If you want to blame Munch 100% for the product on the field now, you have to give him 100% credit for 9-7 last season. He has to find some answers. The team has no identity. He said he was looking to find something the team did well and build around it. Guess what? There's nothing.

Would I prefer Fisher? Heck, no.

I believe that as a head coach he is going to take the blame regardless. He hired all of his assistants or signed off on them and obviously their schemes either blow, are not translating well, or we do not have the personnel to run them. Regardless it is broken. Did I miss where Bud has officially kicked the bucket? Why is he not publicly railing yet? If my money was going into this product, I think I would have to voice my displeasure. Loudly.

I guess you could say players as well but then that goes back to the coaches any way because they are paid to teach and motivate. This isn't little league football where everyone has to play regardless of skill level. You chose your players in the draft, training camps, and free agency so again you hand picked the group you wanted to hit the field with.

Probably. But it's pretty obvious to anyone watching the games that the blame is spread out to just about everyone not named "Kern".

As fans, we want the quick solution. But, from what I've seen, the Titans have problems in so many areas, it's not something that can be fixed easily.

Even if Munch fires one or both coordinators, he'd have to promote from within because it's impossible to change the entire scheme at the mid-point of the season. The only hope would be that the attitude changes and that the calls made during certain situations get better results.

If we see Thursday night what we saw yesterday, it might be worth trying.

We aren't far off in each of our assessments. I don't "blame" Munchak. But he IS responsible for where the team is right now. And furthermore, he IS responsible for the path that it has taken to get here. We are 1-4 and the win we got was the most bizarre and inconsistent bit of football I've ever seen. In all honesty, we were lucky that the Lions imploded in OT on that last play otherwise we'd be 0-5.

Our problem areas were identified last year and he did little to nothing to correct it. Fisher has done a great job with the Rams- there is no denying that. Now- Fisher's time was up here in TN don't get me wrong. But the FO/Adams made a mistake in the manner that they replaced him and quite honestly, also with who they chose to replace him. Munchak is a likable guy. Many believed he lacked the experience necessary to make the leap from a position coach to a HC.

We are seeing the product of that mistake. Gray and Palmer were both mistakes. Tracy Rocker was a mistake. We have gone backwards in nearly every statistical category even AFTER the full off-season to implement their plans. Hell- we won more games retaining some of the old schemes.

My point is that you shouldn't try to minimize criticism of Munchak by castigating the critics with rhetoric like "blame" and "credit". It is about accountability and responsibility. Ultimately, the HC is responsible for the team's success. I don't mind a bit stating the Munchak is responsible for the 9-7 record. It fell short of the playoffs and we SHOULD have beat the Colts to get in the playoffs, but 9-7 is 9-7. In the same light, we are 1-4 now, worse in virtually every statistical category and this squad fails the "eyeball" test miserably. The HC is responsible for that. I said a couple of weeks ago I didn't think this staff could get it done and so far that is the case. I stand by my prediction from a couple of weeks ago that we will go 4-11.
