I see threads about firing coordinators, but what about personel?

I agree that we suck. We suck in a fashion that is literally hearbreaking for me to watch as a true fan. It hurts. Every lackluster play on defense, every missed tackle by the newly paid Griffin, every 1 yard run by CJ....it's painful.

However, this is a league built on parity. Teams like ours get rewarded with top tier draft picks. We have an alleged QB of the future, we have a young defense. I've said it before, the difference between a lousy team and a good team is often the addition of just a few good players and often new coaches and coordinators.

Upgrade our offensive and defensive lines, and this could be a very good team.

McNair played through most of his injuries as well which made me admire him. He played a game with a broken ankle! That has go to be worse than a sore shoulder!

I think deep down TitansWillWin doesn't even believe the BS he's spewing about Locker. He just made an outlandish comment when he was emotional and is now digging the hole deeper rather than admitting he's wrong.

I don't understand why he keeps failing to distinguish between "injury prone" and "not tough". Or why he insists on emphasizing that Locker injured his shoulder on "a simple tackle". As if there has to be some devastating hit in order to cause injury.

EDIT: Meant to quote Riverman on this post.

    there was a devestating hit.

Im totally convinced that Locker hurt his shoulder initially when Wilfolk drove him into the turf - no flag BTW, 2 or 3 plays before the pick with the unnecessary return - no down call BTW

You are injury prone if you get hurt a lot, which clearly he has so far. You are not tough if you cant play throug these injuries. Which he has not been able to do.

Range of motion matters, and after popping it out, you lose a lot of that.

Yea maybe they are a little generous, but I'm still going with it's the coaches, not the players. I know the execution out there sucks, but these same guys were getting it done before. Nobody falls off like that, bad play calling IMO is whats limiting what we do.

Put these guys in position to win by asking them to do what they do best which I think is play man to man way more.
    Here's what I see happening on D:
We're not getting pressure on the QB from our front 4, and even when 5 or 6 go, no one is getting to the football, so we're forcing ourselves to play a lot of zone coverage.

I saw an insane stat last night about the Saints. When Greg Williams was calling games, the D blitzed a little over 50% of the time, and only 30% of passes were completions when they blitzed. This year both them and us call maybe 20% blitzes, so being able to blitz matters big time. Play man coverage so we can blitz, cause sitting 10-yards back is suicide.
Us, we blitz sometimes and give up yards 95% of the time. And as crazy this may sound, we should either never blitz (which is what's being done) or blitz a lot more.
