So I guess we agree that the Titans could switch to 3-4, by selecting a NT and OLB in the first 2 rounds. Star and Hankins are both excellent prospects.

How do you guys rate the 3-4 rush LB in the draft?

    1. Mingo
    2. Jones
    3. Porter

Jarvis jones is the better Rushbacker between him and Mingo IMO

And actually moving the speed backer Brown in with McCarthy would help a lot.

    ---------Casey---NT---Martin/klug--------
    J. Jones--- brown--McCarthy--- Ayers

Morgan? I'm not sure he fits in this scheme... At all.

Unless we can get a free agent NT or one in the 3-4 rounds... I think we still end up having problems with the o line.

The thing that makes the 34 switch easiest for us is the fact that we run a lot of/too much) zone anyways. This would just add to what we already do and apply some pressure hopefully. Our pass rush is a joke.

Oh and wimbley? Kinda forgot bout him.... And since he is signed... He has to fit somewhere.

    -----Casey/klug---nt---Martin/Morgan
    J.Jones--------Ayers--McCarthy---------wimbley

This gives us the best possible look with brown maybe flipping in for ayers and ayers moving over for wimbley in some packages.

Jones has been basically limited to rushing the passer 90% of the time. He doesn't do much coverage and isn't asked to at Georgia. He will cover the flats from time to time or play spy. But he basically is a stand up pass rushing monster.

McCarthy in the middle is a lock of course. Ayers could be our inside blitz guy or we could go to brown In the middle for extra coverage needs. Wimbley can rush the passer and hopefully play lb well enough to not get us killed.

Casey, klug and Martin would be the top running DEs. If Morgan can add some weight... Maybe. I think klug would only be rotational tho due to limited size.

Martin has looked good in the middle of the pack and has done some good run stopping. He and Casey on the ends would require some attention I think.

Don't forget Wimbley has spent his ENTIRE career (before TN) as a 34 OLB. Switching back would be natural for him.

    1. Jones
    2. Mingo
    (big gap)
    3. Lemonier
    4. Jeffcoat
Jarvis Jones would be my favorite. LSU front 7 players scare me. They have so much talent, it's almost unfair. Jarvis Jones is the obvi #1 must block guy when facing UGA... however LSU has Montgomery to wory about as well. I still like Mingo, just like Jarvis more.

Jarvis Jones it the best pass rusher in this draft. Closely followed by Werner (but Werner is a 43 guy)

I thought I read he was a down lineman for the browns originally?

If I remember correctly, he was a 43 DE at Fla St. Drafted 13th overall to the Browns and immediately played 34 OLB. When he was traded to the Raiders, he played 1/2 a year at DE before there starting OLB got injured. He moved back to OLB and stayed there until he signed with us.
