And you can influence their decision by protesting and not purchasing tickets and merchandise.

Ofcourse it's easier said than done.

I only cry about the blatant stuff like the pass int against us with NE. Every team plays bump and hold game on receivers up to 10 or so yards, even the titans. I get bent out of shape on all these retarded fines. My most hated was the Harrison on McCoy. Watch that replay McCoy lowers his head into Harrison's form tackle. Sorry but the only way I know how to tackle is to lead with my head. Harrison's head was level with his body for a perfect tackle and at the last sec McCoy stuck his head down there and got knocked the f out. Not Harrison's fault but yet here's a huge fine sent his way. How bout running backs that lead with there heads, where's their penalties and fines. It's a bully tactic to get D's to lay of the beloved QB. Guess what it's FOOTBALL.

Raise your hand if you think that is a reasonable possibility. No one? Didn't think so.

That's never going to happen. Not as long as fantasy football and gambling are around. People have already stopped buying tickets because of economic hardship. Ticket sales have bottomed out around the league, why do you think there has been an emphasis on the gameday experience?

As long as the NFL has tv deals with Directv, ESPN, NBC, FOX and CBS they won't be hurting anytime soon.

Yeah it's a good thought in theory, but that approach would fix most problems in the world. So why do we still have high gas prices and Goodell? Because boycotting is only a theory not a solution because you will never get everyone on board. I totally agree fry.

I disagree with that notion. We wouldn't be a country if people haven't protested.

Women wouldn't be allowed to vote. Black people wouldn't be allowed in white establishments. Gays wouldn't be able to marry.

There's thousands of instances over the course of history where people came together for a cause. Don't listen to the doubters.

Yea, but those people were already sacrificing (unintentionally) for their cause. Fans of the NFL wont unless they are average joe fans.

People these days are not going to give up self gratification to improve the quality of the game and the NFL knows this. If it were year round, then maybe a game wouldnt be as big of a deal but football is seasonal.

Dont watch todays game, just to prove a point that you can do it and see how many excuses you come up with as to why you did. "well no one else is" "well im just one person and its not organized" ect ect (youre quoted CJ, but this isnt to you, this is to everyone) Its tough to not watch your favorite entertainment of the week, even if it is to improve it because it involved sacrificing something you love (watching the game) to improve it.

Edit: IF something like this was organized, we could do it logically as well. Everyone can hear the game on the radio, so have radio parties/gatherings so you can still hear the game you love. However dont see it on TV so that those ratings drop. That, imo, would be the only way that a "boycott" would ever happen to the NFL.

I didn't say this was reasonably possible.

We live in a capitalistic society and you vote with your dollar.

Again, it's not really plausible but that's how you get the attention of owners.

Oh I agree. I'm just naive enough to think it will happen. Most people will ***** and complain about things that actually matter but aren't willing to do something about it. Roger Goodell is hardly more important.
