Lets trade Chris "It Aint My Fault" Johnson

Look on football outsiders. I looked at every year since they started keeping the stats. Ours last year was one of the worst ever, this year its 3x worse than that.

 

I'd take Chris Henry over CJ right now.

 

Trading CJ would be stupid. Seriously.
1. Right now you would not get a lot in return.
2. He is not as bad as it looks.
3. The fault is about 50/50 between CJ and O-line. Remember how good CJ actually was when we had a C named Kevin Mawae? Kevin was a beast in run blocking and created holes for CJ to run.
4. No RB will be really good behind EA or his replacement FV.
5. Screw trading CJ. Upgrade at C and the run game will return.

Matthews sucks. He's only on the team because his dad is a coach

 

I have had faith in CJ since day one...

Up until this morning, why this morning, I don't know...

The O-line is not doing well, but CJ is not giving 100% either. The O-line players I feel are actually trying to run block, but just suck especially on the interior. CJ is not giving full effort on every play. Some plays I see his legs churning non-stop, other times I see him not taking the 2-3 yard run. I can always find it in my heart to excuse full-effort but bad play. But I can not excuse not giving 100% every play. Maybe he is disheartened by the fact that there arn't any holes, but that's not an excuse. We are basically stuck with the O-line we have until the upcoming offseason, but we have a few runningbacks who can see some carries. I feel ringer would be able to do okay if given the opportunity. At least 2.5 to 3.0 yards per carry would make me ecstatic.

So I say bench CJ, and see how the other runningbacks do; because no one is going to trade for CJ unless his deal is restructured. If the other backs do okay, cut CJ in the off-season, and draft a runningback in the draft.
