How exactly does that make him fake? Seems like exactly what I would expect any extreme sports professional do. It kindof goes a long with the territory. I guess you have never been out to Colorado but its essentially a massive party where a lot of drugs (of all kinds) are present and everyone wreaks havoc. If anything that makes him more real. That's probably what everyone in that sport is doing and that's why they are snowboarding. I give him props for doing such a good job with him image to hide that from the press and look like a good role model for kids. Used to kindof think he was a douche but this makes him seem way more real to me. I guess you might just be uptight or jealous but this is snowboarding and he has so much money he can pretty much do what he wants. I dont blame him I would probably be a lot worse. Also a couple of my buddies saw him out at Breck a few winters ago they said he was pretty chill. They just said hi to him but said he was approachable and didnt really act like he was a star even with everyone constantly coming up to him asking for autographs.

You summed up why it makes him fake... he's supposed to be a role model for kids and he goes out and does crap like this?

Let me get this straight though... the fact that he's a professional snowboarder makes it okay for him to do whatever he wants? And that makes him more real???

No the fact that he is doing what a normal 26 year old would do is fine with me. I know a lot of successful businessmen that have done way worse at that age. The kid is the second highest paid sports athlete behind Manning and this is the worst he has done. Seems like he is very much in control at that point. Hell give me that much money now and I would destroy sh*t. Oh and how many gold medals has he won for us? Ray Lewis is a role model for kids and he killed someone...

You are disillusioned with life if you think this is what a normal adult should do.

Please tell me what you would have this 26 year old with more money then he can spend should do.

He wins gold medals, gives to charities, runs camps for kids, works hard at his career path but no way should he ever be able to have fun or act like most people in their 20s. Your delusional if you don't think that most people in their 20s don't go out and party like that every once in a while. Basically it just comes down to your personality. If you enjoy sitting at home all day watching CSI and Desperate Housewives that's fine but some people are actually social. Not trying to be a dick just pointing out that you think someone who has done more for his sport, the community and even the USA winning medals is fake because of the way he lives his life doesn't agree with you. There is nothing worth arguing more in the issue.
