That's not a provable point. If you win championships, that's where the profit really comes.

Trying to get manning was a profit and championship winning goal. Too bad it didn't work out that way.

CJ didn't look half-bad this week. But he's hardly been playing at a level where he should feel comfortable excusing himself of any of the blame.

 

I think we pay the guy "make something out of nothing" money but at the same token, any team worth their weight in manure knows to then build around that player. Whether they pass protected well or not, the Vikings KNEW they needed to get guys who could open holes for AP to do his thing. The pass game would have to take a back seat. Right now we have an OL who is compromised of a lot of pass-blockers and just generally average OL players.

Then we tell them, we just drafted a QB in the first round so we want to protect him. But also focus on run-blocking for CJ. But also pass protect.

I honestly don't think our OL have the mental capacity to handle both at once. If we just focused on one, we'd be fine, but clearly we wanted a well-rounded OL and it just left us with a bunch of OL not that great at anything.

 

well at least that pile of uselessness that is EA aint stinkin the place up this year

 

Yeah now our OL is just getting stood up at the LOS instead of having one guy getting pushed backwards.
