This doesn't make sense to me.

Starting Hasselbeck automatically makes us miss the playoffs. Starting Locker gives us a chance. This is just the way I see it. I'm not sure how you can think our chances are better with Hasselbeck.

I just hope after 0-4 (assuming that's our record), we don't do something stupid and start Hasselbeck. Because guess what? He'd actually start winning more games - only due to a soft schedule. That would kill Locker's confidence because everyone would be talking about how MH is saving our season and better than Jake.

Jake being a C+ QB at this point is a positive... and the only way for him to get better is to start games and get experience. We are still a rebuilding team. We know we can't go far with Hasselbeck, so why waste a year of Locker's NFL career by sitting him when he could be improving game after game?

Jake is sure as hell a lot better than most young QBs are when they start out... even some of the elite ones in the league today didn't do as well.

But the coaches swear Jake "earned" the job in training camp. If that's true, he's a B also. Right?

If CJ and our o-line could get their **** together, we'd instantly be a top 10 offense.

We've gotta stick with locker the same we we stuck with Hass last year.

And I do think even with no run game that we can beat the Chargers. We'll see tonight what they're about, but they're no New England so it should be an easier game.

That's like saying if Jacksonville had a great QB and some great receivers they'd be a top ten 10 offense..

Im sure the people complaining are CJ, and the Oline, who are incapable of running the scheme.

They tried. We cant make people sign with us and we did pick up an old guard to try to replace one of the problems. If they would have landed one of the centers they wanted, that would have been 2 out of 5 pieces that they tried to fix. Can only do so much in one offseason.

As for the pass rush, there were not a lot of options without overpaying for Williams, Freeny, or wasting a draft pick to pick up that guy from Detroit (who I think eventually resigned)

I am not happy, but I do see that they tried.

I hate the idea of NE and SD back to back to start the season.. Rarely do we beat those guys and it's often ugly..

Jamarcus Russell could have sailed it 40 yards past the receiver. ;)

So you would rather lose with hasselbeck because there is a better chance that our players don't get hurt? You'd rather halt Locker's development and waste more time with Hass? Everyone saw him yesterday. He's still a below average declining old washed up QB that isn't going to take this team anywhere. You're crazy if you think Hass would have given us a better chance to win that game.

Locker didn't get Nate hurt. Nate got Nate hurt, and the refs and the rest of our offense got Locker hurt. Locker hit Nate in the hands. Plays like that happen every week. Players get hit. Nate couldn't hang on to it. He was playing scared all game.

If Hass started that game, our offense would have resembled our defense.

Didn't you just say yesterday that everyone should shut up about Locker, because he is the only bright spot on our offense? You're so wishy washy. Just pick a stance and roll with it.
