Auburn struggled in their bowl to beat a Va Tech team that USC beat by double digits in Blacksburg. 04 SC was an ATG team, they would've beatdown anybody with a month off to prepare

Yea, the Aubs deserved to be there.

I have got to wonder if the previous two games didn't effect the voters.

The Aubs would have definitively given USC an actual game and might have beat then.

I still have nightmares about Tennessee from that year.

Aubs were the only team between us and USC. Oh yea and that Notre Dame game...

Tennessee should have at least one more NC between 1996 and 2005

It is sad we could only get one

Yes Vanderbilt is in the sec.

But you can't thump your chest about beating the almighty sec when many of those victories came against the worst team historically in the sec.

It's like claiming to be an olympian winning 8 gold medals. But your competition was of the special Olympic kind.

And for the record, I'm a Vanderbilt fan

That was a good Va Tech team though. One of the best teams in the country that year.

... So the SEC fans can brag nonstop about how great their conference is top to bottom...

until a team owns them. And then you start picking which SEC teams are great?

In that case- honestly, there are only about 3 teams in the SEC worth bragging about beating- Florida, Alabama, and LSU.

Do you know what top to bottom even means?

Its means out top teams are better than your top teams while our bottom teams are better than your bottom teams?

Is Michigan now a bottom team?

You're record against the SEC looks really impressive, until you delve further into the facts and see that 50% of your wins are against the worst team in the sec, historically.

That is the equivalent of Alabama claiming supremacy over the B1G if 50% of their wins were against Northwestern or Indiana

    Another SEC-SEC-SEC 123456 factiod:

SEC bowl games are typically something like this -
    SEC3 vs Pac10 2
    SEC4 vs Big? 3
    SEC5 vs ACC3
    SEC 6 vs BigEast 3
    SEC7 vs MidMajor Confernece Champ
    and so on

SEC1 and SEC2 are too busy deciding who the NCAA Champion is -
    SEC-SEC-SEC

I'll also point out that the Big East Co-Champion barely scathed by the SEC's 9th best team.

But yeah, go ahead and think you're even in the same vicinity of the SEC.

"wait's patiently for DWs response that admissions requirements are more stringent in the B1G"
