Sorry you feel that way. CJ is being paid as if he's the best RB in the league. Why should he be allowed to just be an average RB?

And where did I say he needs to run for 2000 yards again??? Heading into 2010, I said I didn't want him to rush for that much because that means our team still sucks. And I still carry that attitude. Of course we didn't make the playoffs in 2009 though... KFC was our QB for 6 games, losing all of them, and our defense sucked balls under Chuck Cecil's command.

I said I wanted him to rush for 1500 yards on a 4.5 or higher YPC. That's about 20 carries a game for 94 yards. Is that unreasonable for a guy who signed a $30M guaranteed contract? No. It's not. Simple as that.

Show me something, CJ. Let's see some consistency.

Your expectations are too high. You probably find yourself disappointed a lot in life.

honestly total yards isn't really important to me. Any RB can lead the league if he gets enough carries and has a decent enough line.

A lot of you look into the TV stats and thats it. The stats that really matter for RB's in my opinion are:

    Touchdowns
    AVG
    Fumbles
    % of First Downs

If CJ is doing well in those categories, we'll be fine.

uuuuuuh how did CJ do in those catagories in 2011?

    TD once every 80 touches
Avg 4.0 20 TEAMS averages more in 2011
Fumbled once every 106 touches - a good stat
18.8% FDs or 1 FD every 5.3 touches

Other than a consistent handle CJ measured poorly IMO

But hey at least he has the time and inclination too berate his fans right CJ?

I never have high hopes for this team because they let me down too much. I just remain cautiously optimistic each season.

Do I actually think CJ WILL rush for 1500 yards, 15 TDs, 4.5 YPC? No. I have no faith in him.
Do I actually think CJ NEEDS to rush for 1500 yards, 15 TDs, 4.5 YPC to show he's worth the money? Yes.

See the difference? I don't actually expect it to happen. I predict around 1300 yards, 8 TDs, 4.2 YPC. It might be good enough for us to make the playoffs, but it's not as good as he advertises himself.

Just because CJ improves from last year's pathetic performance doesn't mean he's worth it.

Also... I'm not saying he needs to lead the league in rushing in terms of giving him the ball 30 times a game.

I'm saying that with a good YPC (something he's shown he can have), he should lead the league in rushing.

with our line, him leading the league in rushing is unrealistic.

Ok, clearly didn't do so well in that category.

for a minimum of 170 carries I have him 19th in the league for RB's with a 4.0 AVG

so average/below average in that category...

He held onto the ball and I didn't check but I'd be willing to bet that the 18.8% first downs is top 10 in the league.

So in 2/4 categories he did well, 1/4 he did slightly below average, and 1/4 he didn't show up at all. Which goes with what I've been saying all along, CJ had an AVERAGE season in 2012. It wasn't nearly as bad as most of you make it out to be, but clearly the massive contract has made some of you unable to be impartial towards CJ.

heres another stat to help the CJ haters think outside the box. CJ's stats compared to his replacements...

    CJ2K: 4.0 AVG
    Ringer: 3.1 AVG
    Harper: 2.6 AVG

    Collectively..

    CJ2K: 262 carries, 1047 yards, 4 Touchdowns, 4.0 AVG
    Ringer + Harper + Hall: 82 carries, 253 yards, 2 Touchdowns 3.08 AVG

To even claim CJ had an average season is absurd.

He had a horrible year. No denying it.

If he was a 7th round pick out of Wyoming State University playing for the league minimum you'd feel differently. It's all relative when you can't take money out of the equation.
