I've read this enitre post and found parts of it quite comical. I'm on neither side of the fence with CJ but would like to say whether you are CJ or any other back in the NFL and make a statement like he did last year about himself being a playmaker, he would run for more than 2,000 yds., etc. then you better back it up. CJ brought on "hate" by holding out and then coming in out of shape and under performing.

I hope CJ performs great this year and can actually back up his use of "playmaker". WE need CJ to be on his best game this year. If for some reason he doesn't show more effort this year then yes he will be ridiculed.........Pay me 50 million dollars and I don't give a rats ass if you make fun of me all day long! I'll laugh about it while I'm out spending my money.

And you're saying all of that is his fault? I admit the holdout played a big role in his decline in production but you have to admit our interior offensive linemen were AWFUL last year. I guess everyone just forgot about Amano.

I've met people who have been in the public eye and they've shared certain things. I've also heard a lot of 1st hand accounts. Why should they have to be role models for your kids? The parents should be the role models IMO.

Hey I'm pulling hard for CJ, I think he's a great back but there is a difference between trolling and telling the truth. Yes the interior line last year was horrible but that's his only excuse? He chose to hold out and show up out of shape and to be honest from what I saw last year he wasn't running like he could've been. I understand we make excuses for our stars and oh how I've tried to back CJ but he is accountable for last season.

I don't really understand how a fans hate on CJ like some do. He's our star player who has played hard for us and made us a watchable team again. He has ONE bad year and all of a sudden Ringer should start or he should be cut/traded? It's pathetic.

I said nothing about role models for my kids. Goodell however has stated there is a certain level of matureness at which they must conduct themselves at.

To be honest, if the kids don't look up to me and the wife, I would much rather have my them look up to scientists and doctors than to sports figures.

I have felt the team watchable no matter what.

Could care less about them. It's tough being a Titans fan in Northern California, since there seems to be about 20 of us in total.

The rest of the country are not watching our games unless thier team is playing them anyways. The only thing they may watch is the highlights and the scoring line for fantasy football.

Hey i'm with you there but when I go to Candlestick to see Titans play @ Niners I see a crap-ton of blue. I usually wait to see a group of Titan fans walk into the stadium before I go in through the tailgators. Only 1 niner fan has ever got in my face and it wasn't anything but trash talking.

Notice how I say Niner /Titan games only ... no way id wear my blue @ Oakland heh

Last game I went to at the Stick, some group of 6 niners fans started actually pushing me towards the outter ledge of the 3rd concourse. My niner brother-in-law jumped in between us and said I was cool and to knock it off. I think the dudes weren't going to stop until the saw the cops about 20 feet away watching us.

And I hadn't said a damn thing. From what I have seen lately, the Niners fans have gotten worse than the Raiders fans. My brother in law agrees with me.
