Don't want to sound like a certain poster here, but some of the comments I've seen on here about CJ are simply ignorant. Nice touch with the smiley, BTW. Ridiculous. The same people saying "wait and see" from CJ's good performance are the one's that were screaming for his head after 5 carries for 8 yards last week. So which is it guys? That's right. Hating just to be hating. If it were really "wait and see" you would have been saying it last week as well. As a fanbase we really need to take a step back and put things in perspective.

We all know about the holdout and lack of interior blocking last year. We also know about the implementation of a new head coach and offensive system. Old news there and quality reasons as to why CJ would struggle. Sometimes we as fans can't put our finger on the reason why a player is struggling. It was beyond obvious why CJ struggled last season. It was right in our face screaming at us. There's no need to even question or dispute it at this point. So where do we go from here?

First of all, if he has 3 or 4 more season of 1,500+ yards, he his a first ballot hall of famer. Remember in '09 and '10 when NFL Films followed him around? There's a reason for that. They know he's headed to Canton one day and want that archive "movie" footage. In '09 he ran for more 80 yard TD runs than anyone in their career and he did it in one season. He's rushed for 1,000 yards every year he's been in the league. That includes last year when he and the team struggled, and his rookie year when he shared reps with LenDale White. I firmly believe that if he hadn't got his leg twisted around by a dirty Raven in '08 that he would have set a postseason rushing record on the Ravens and we would have been headed to the Superbowl on his back. No question in my mind about it. I also watched him play his ass off in 2010 when we had no shot at even a playoff birth with the QB drama we had going on. Remember that run against the Chargers when our playoff hopes were basically gone? I know I do.

Sorry for the book guys, I just want to set the record straight here. It's really getting ugly on here. You know it's bad when our fanbase is harder on the guy than rival team fans. ****, NFL Network has been drooling over CJ all off-season and pre-season. In all my time as a Titans fan (and I've been one since 1997 I watched Eddie run over the Raiders for 200+ in 1997 at our first home game in Memphis) I've never seen such a great, proven player get so much hate. Even Britt doesn't get this amount of hate from the fanbase for God's sake. Let's take a step back and put this thing in perspective and stop all the hateful rhetoric. It does no one any good. Let's also give credit where it's due. Chris Johnson has played his ass off for this organization for 5 years on a couple of pretty bad teams. He also has never been in trouble with the law and is by all accounts a model citizen with a great work ethic.

I dont see all the CJ hate that was here last year. Mostly its been a lot of positive or hopeful thoughts towards him this upcoming season. Your about a year late on this post...

I understand where you're coming from in this statement. I myself, am guilty of bashing CJ at times. In reality though, I have his back at all times.

Nobody on here wants CJ to fail at all. I guess when you have a 2,000 yard season and then turn around and say you're going to get 2,500 the next, it raises expectations. When he doesn't meet the expectations, I guess it is considered a FAIL, when it actually isn't.

You're right on him being a model citizen in the NFL. He has never been in trouble, nor has anyone ever questioned his work ethic, and that alone makes me respect him as a person and a football player.

and CJ did suck last year. He is a great player and is one of my favorite Titans but if he plays like he did last year (not all his fault but he has to take some of blame) then expect the comments to continue

I'm not saying there hasn't been any on here just no where near as bad as it was last year. Read Britt's forum its way worse with ignorant comments. Most people on here have talked about how much better CJ has looked and how he has taken more of a leadership/team first role. Go back and look at posts from last year there is no comparison.

We have a few anti-CJ trolls around here that really bring the mood down. And someone implements a smiley to further feed them? Wow. The ignorance of those people make it almost unbearable to view gameday threads or any thread about CJ. Ignorance? Simple trolling? Not sure.

I know it needs to end though.

There's always going to be haters, you just gotta rub it in there face when the team, or that certain player proves them wrong!

Seriously, why would you care what trolls think? CJ doesn't care what they think, neither should you or I. As much as some "trolls" may hate him, they sure would trade their life for his in a heartbeat.
