I'm still wondering how Locker played so good last season with the starter. Starting or not Locker did great those few games last season, but he stunk in this preseason game with the starters.

Not sure what the titans offensive game plan was but Nate nor Damian had any catches. the only decent wr with a catch was the rookie Wright with 1 catch for 9 yards.

Locker nor Hass got a play call to pass over 15 yards. It was very limited play calling by Palmer , I hope it doesnt carry over into the regular season. I hope the Titans were just holding back. But it made Locker look bad.

I noticed that Locker was "locked" on his primary receiver, but I'm wondering if he was told to do that as a ruse for the Patriots. I believe that is why the receivers were covered so well and there was no separation. At least I'm hoping that was the case! Ha!

I kind of agree. At this point, MH is old. Locker needs atleast 2-3 seasons of starting so we can get a fair and accurate idea of where he is at QB. Heaven forbid he is horrific...I wanna know sooner rather than later.

Aaron Rogers had some terrible preseason games when he was riding the bench in Green Bay. Just sayin'...

    1. Jake Locker just isnt ready. He cant complete the short passes with any touch and his reads before the snap obviously aren't there either. I'm holding out hope still because he has a cannon arm and can run better than any QB in the NFL. Would like to see what Rusty Smith would do with the 1st teamer's because he has looked by far the best QB on this team so far.

    2. Hopefully CJ is back because he looked like he ran with a purpose for the 1st time in a year and a half and had some of his old speed.

    3. Defense has looked good but still lacks aggressive playcalling. The defensive line can actually get some pressure now and the LB's on this team have some serious SPEED and as a unit may have one of the fastest defenses in the NFL. Would like to see some 3rd down blitzes and more man coverage cause teams like the Patriots will destroy a soft zone.

    4. Darius Reynaud is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I hope after his performances he's secured the backup RB role and would like to see him as a KR or PR.

    1. Obviously very disappointed with Locker's performance. Not ready to lose hope over one pre-season game but there's no way you can reward that performance with the starting job. Surely he has time to make up for it (2 more pre-season games) but at this point, the competition is still very open when I think most of us hoped Locker would seal the deal last night.

    2. The OL was very disappointing, seems like Locker faced a lot of pressure. That will make Hasselbeck a sitting duck, which sucks even more if Locker isn't ready for the job because at least he's mobile enough to get away from pressure. But at this point, Hasselbeck may be our best option.

    3. CJ looked great, lots of step in him! The cuts were incredibly quick and let's hope that it transitions to the regular season, because it looks like we're gonna need a good run game.

    4. Reynaud indeed has done enough to make this team.

    5. The defense looked quite good, was very impressed with Marks, Witherspoon & Ayers. Marks will probably be our opening day DT starter next to Casey. Mccarthy was impressive too but that goes without saying.

    My thoughts:

The D looked fantastic. Granted, they were playing the Bucs. But still, they looked fantastic. When McCarthy was in he seemed to be near the ball at the end of every play. There is no doubt in my mind that he'll be a yearly pro bowler and was probably our best pick up in his class.

Locker looked pretty real bad. Yes, it's just a preseason game, and the Bucs have a solid secondary. But still, Locker did very little to impress.

CJ looked good, but I can't read too much into that, because he looked good against the Buccaneers LAST YEAR. It was one of the few games where he did well. I'm not singing CJ's praises until he plays well in the regular season consistently.

If the Titans let Raynaud go, they're idiots.

    And that was about it.
