Dwight is much better than Bynum especially on defense.

I imagine the Magic just wanted draft picks.

At least, I HOPE the Magic just wanted draft picks.

Orlando wanted prospects, draft picks and to dump their garbage. The draft picks they're gonna get won't have much value. Houston and Orlando were in trade talks all summer and Houston was willing to give up Kevin Martin (also expiring), Jeremy Lamb, a couple of other prospects, a top 8 pick and was willing to take back most of Orlando's bad contracts. Yet Orlando took Arron Affalo and only dumped one bad contract... Does that make sense to you? Something's fishy here.

    ^Why?

Lakers aren't desperate... this isn't the Bobcats or anything. Lakers will win more championships soon, regardless.

Are you sure? They don't win this year, Dwight goes to the Mav's, Kobe is 48, Nash is 63. Even if Dwight stays, Kobe is 48 and Nash is 63. Their window is very small. Dwight can't win a title being the #1 guy, so time is running out with Kobe.

Dwight obviously doesn't want to be with the Lakers long-term, as he has already said he is going to explore free agency next year. If he really wanted to play the remainder of his career with the Lakers, he would be talking to them about signing an extension. We all know he wants to play for the Nets.
