Good point. We'll have to wait and see. I'd be equally happy if he suplexed Gronk on his head a la Vince Young style and Gronk fumbled though.

That's what I want to see happen. I'll take the 15.

Well hell, if we're gonna go that route, we should just have someone grab Brady by the pigtails and sling him around till his neck snaps.

That would kick off a Civil War between Boston and Nashville.

I wasn't using that expression to prove a point. I was just showing you how easily a "young and hungry" defense can end up sucking big time.

So I'm expecting us to rank 15th after we ranked 22nd or 23rd (?) last year... That's a pretty big improvement. You're expecting us to jump into the top 10? That's unrealistic IMO.

I'm pretty good at predicting our defenses' rank each season. I just don't see top 10 happening yet.

I understand where your coming from, I just believe differently. This isn't a defense with all of the same personnel, and all of the same conditions. This is a defense with a lot of new starters and potential stars. We had one of the best defensive rookie classes I've seen here. I think Grey is a very good D Coordinator and I believe we'll improve in both scheme and talent this year.

Everybody talked about our offense last season, but I think this season a lot of the focus will be on the defense. I'm expecting a lot of turnovers.

Reports are coming out that the D-Line looks like a solid group. Good news....

I don't think there can be any question at all that the defense is going to be more talented. We replaced Ball with Wimbeley, two of our LBs were rookies as were two of our DTs. MOrgan is obviously gong to be healthier. We shoud also have Martin getting reps next to Casey where we had nothing but blubber there. At the minmum Brown is going to help us in pass coverage as a nickel backer.

But it doesn't end there. Add in that Gray not only has a better group to work with but will be able to do more things. He can be more aggressive especially since McCathey and Ayers are now 2nd year players. Ayers might give us another option as a pass rusher. The full scheme can be implemented.

Also, if our offense improves, especially the running game, the defense will get a real shot in the arm. They won't have to be on the field as much and will have better field position. More points obviously also means more wins.

Until the defensive philosophy completely changes and is more aggressive with more blitzing and mixed coverages rather than a soft zone with opposing offenses dictating the pace then i cant see how this defense can be any better minus Finnegan

This titans defense has way more talent than that Youngry defense of the tampa bay buccaneers.
