The Magic don't even run their offense through Howard and he doesn't command enough double teams. Yao was the better and more complete center, he was averaging 25 points a game and just scratching the surface of his potential before the injury bug got him. If only he was 7'1" instead.

Either Howard or Bynum ends up in Houston. As I said, Houston has the best package for Orlando.

I've always thought Howard was insanely overrated... but I wouldnt mind him playing for the Lakers.

Would hate to let Bynum go though.

I don't want to lose Bynum either, but since the reports came out that we are not even on his short list of who he would sign with I have no problem with it

And Dwight said he would only sign with the Nets, so if I was renting one guy for a year to win a championship I would rather Dwight

Bynum is 24 and has bad knees already, if you can swap him for Howard without losing Gasol, you do it.

I'd love to see Steve Nash win a title. Dwight Howard to the Lakers would make that happen.

    Of course.

But... Bynum is the best center in the league while healthy.

    So it's a hard call.

    A gamble, for sure.

Howard practically was their offense. If he made half of his free throws each game, he would of averaged like 28 points a game.

Potentially he can be, but he isn't there yet. Potential doesn't guarantee production though. I talked about Yao's potential earlier but at one point in his career he proved to be better than Dwight before the injuries. As for Bynum, you never know, he could take a step back next year before he actually surpasses Dwight.

You don't have to worry either way, looks like the inevitable is about to happen soon and that is Dwight is going to Houston. Whoever is taking Dwight is going to have to take a bunch of bad contracts with him (J-Rich, Hedo), and it was just reported Houston is going to amnesty Scola, so that move would make no sense if a deal for Dwight wasn't in place.

With Jeremy Lin going to the Rockets, it looks unlikely like Howard will be traded to the Rockets. There's a lot of talk between LA and Orlando. Maybe LA is dumping Bynum for Howard?
