Because the coaching staff trusted CJ running the ball more than VY throwing it.

Give up. The averages with the two QBs shows there is difference, but it favored the pocket-passer.

Like I said look at the top rushing teams 4 of the top 6 had mobile qbs.

Mawae, the only center we have had in the past six years, being injured had nothing to do with that either. Right?

Because running QBs add to the yards on broken plays/scrambles/called qb runs. Cam Newton's 700+ yards gets added to the running totals, they don't just disappear.

I am very aware of this as I said earlier it brings another dimension to the offense. Hence the defense can't stack the box. The threat of a running qb will make the defense play safe and CJ should be more productive.

Having a QB who can't throw like VY and Tebow brings someone in to the box.

It's like you've never watched football before. If anything a running QB is going to hold the backside end from crashing down because he has to contain the threat of the bootleg, but having a non-threat to throw the ball like VY is most definitely NOT going to take a defender out of the box.

It's amazing that guys like Emmitt Smith, Ladainian Tomlinson and Edgerring James put up the numbers they did with some of the least mobile QBs to ever play the game.

Hahaha seriously and who said I'm talking exclusively about VY and Tebow? I'm pretty sure Locker showed us a few things he is capable of last season. I have been watching this game since 1990 and anyone who has watched this team since they have been named the Titans knows that our offense has always been more explosive with a mobile qb.

In what was a run heavy league with less mobile qbs. The game has changed if you haven't noticed or do you watch football?

Would you prefer Jones-Drew, Arian Foster, Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson as examples instead?

I mean, seven out of the ten top rushers last year were run by offenses that had immobile QBs.

Again, the top rushing teams are ranked higher because of the rushing yards that are added by the QB, yards that otherwise would have been passing yards if they had a pocket-passer.

It's not a hard concept to understand.

Why would they have been passing yards are you telling me Cam Newton would have been right behind Brees in that category if he had just passed the ball. Nooooo sometimes the only option is to run and thats a nice option to have.
