Nope. I'm saying criticizing Hasselbeck for doing something every QB has done with this team is kind of silly.

What would make anyone think that Locker will throw past the markers? The routes are short.

The fact that he did. That's why his yards per attempt is better.

Oh, and of course, the fact that he can run for a first down is helpful too.

For starters, we have an entirely new coaching staff. It would be silly to assume we would keep the same bad habits.

You're obviously referring to the Norm Chow and Les Steckel dink and dunk years. Under Dinger with McNair our passing attack was as vertical as it gets in the NFL.

I'm not sure what team you've been watching over the years. Either that or you're just a kid.

The routs were short with Hasselbeck because he is a west coast dink and dunk guy, and he has a very shaky long ball. I suspect the offense will be totally different with Locker at QB. They design the offense around the QBs strengths and weaknesses. Locker has a canon on him, you better believe he's going to be chucking it past the sticks. He's already shown that he doesn't play it safe out there. He's able and not afraid to stretch the defense and challenge them downfield.

It is not silly to criticize him (Hasselbeck) for something every other Titan QB has done, because the league has changed and that kind of play doesn't cut it anymore. Especially when our first round QB might ride the bench behind that. We know what Hasselbeck gives us and it's not enough. It's time for locker to grow, get some experience, and show us what he's really capable of.

I am not a Hasselbeck lover. I protested Munchak's decision to start Hasselbeck against the Jags and gave my tickets to a friend. This was only the 6th game in team history I did not attend... It is the only game I flat out opted not to go to.

However, he's the best QB we've had since 2003 McNair. Why complain? I'd hate to hear what you've had to say about our other QBs over the last 9-10 seasons. The fact of the matter is that Hasselbeck won us more games than he lost. He lost us the Colts game... and that may actually be it. Only other games you could say he lost us would be the Falcons and Saints games, but that Falcons game was just a horrible defensive performance and CJ had 13 rushes for 12 yards.

Don't get me wrong... I want Locker starting, but if Britt is healthy, I promise you, Hasselbeck will impress.

I trust that this actually is a legit QB competition. I don't see how Locker loses it. He led all rookies in QBR in preseason and regular season (granted it was in limited playing time, but still).

First game against the Jaguars where he got greedy and threw an int.

But I don't mind Hass. He did well for us until he got hurt. Then it was just downhill.

CJ: 9 rushes, 24 yards against the Jags. I know who lost us that game. Oh and Griffin (and the whole defense) sucked a big D that day.

Hasselbeck and Britt were the only reason we made it close at the end. That was a bad decision at the end, but c'mon... That's not his fault we lost.

It would be like saying Tom Brady lost the Pats the Super Bowl because he threw a similar deep ball that was picked by Blackburn.

To a degree you're right. However, we only needed a field goal to win, so him going for a TD cost us big time.

But yeah, CJ's need for diamonds in his teeth certainly hurt us that day.
