It would be the same feeling yes. Ask any collector. You have a goldmine in your house. Damn right I'm dancing.

$1000 isn't a goldmine and it never will be.

That collection is worth far more than a 1000$
The system itself if a 700-1000$ each game can cost 200-1000$ each. Depending on the game demand and rarity. ESP if he or anyone has MVS carts. Those are the holy grail. While the video is grainy most of those are AES carts. Still not cheap by a long shot.

They cost so much because back in the early 90's Neo Geo was a big arcade company. They were the first to bring a console to the consumer market with perfect arcade ports because they were basically the arcade cart itself. The system then cost 600$ (add that to 2012 inflation and would be over a grand) games cost 250$ each. Well it only had a cult following due to the cost. So even back then would not just walk into gamestop and pick one up. You had to order them. So people who collect them now have money or go broke collecting for it. Be like if someone had Vince Lombardi hat and red grange cleats and bart starrs DB ring and jersey plus more. Its that valuable to gaming collectors.
It may mean nothing to you but to some they can only dream of having a Neo geo collection like that

I'm not sure if I could invest the money into an older game collection like that guy has. I think I would rather use the money to update my current ps3/360 collection. I understand why people do it though.

It is nothing to me because I don't collect. However that isn't my point. The point is, it's not even close to 100 million. It's not the same ballpark.

Besides, winning a $100 million is winning, collecting is buying.

You mis understood tho. It was saying it's a gold mine for collectors and it would maybe be the same feeling as winning 100$ mill for some. Sorry I didn't make it more clear before.

one of these days I am going to have my ps3/360 hooked up to a HD projector, something like this:

HD projectors run anywhere from 2k-4k.....quite expensive, but I would love to have a 120" screen for my games/movies.

You need a windowless room for projectors. Used to have one at the old house but with windows it's not good during the day.
