The gap isn't what it used to be.

and I'm pretty sure that Boise State team handled a "top" SEC team this past season.

But we'll keep pretending that playing Tennessee, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Miss State, Auburn, South Carolina, etc is hard...

    lol

    Lol Georgia, that's your argument?

Well ok, given how dominant the SEC has been I can understand beating the 4th or 5th best SEC team should equal BCS Championship slot in your eyes.

Well, you see Deuce, in the SEC, the teams that play in the championship game are the best team from the Eastern Division and the best team from the Western Division. Not the two best teams in the conference.

Georgia got where they were going thanks to only having South Carolina and Florida as competition, where Florida's QB was injured for a large part of the season.

If it was the two best teams in the conference playing for the SEC title, then it would have assuredly been LSU and Alabama, and who knows? Maybe then Alabama would have gone on to stomp Overrated State University into the ground in the NC game.

Or maybe Alabama and LSU would have had a second rematch in NC game. I imagine getting beat by (theoretical then) #2 Alabama would still be better than getting beat by (lol) Iowa State.

Continuing my crusade for fair conferences and a more intelligent playoff than the top 4 in the AP poll...

The article talks about how a 4 team playoff will rapidly expand quickly.

    Best quote:

I just hope we get some type of fair schedule structure to the NFL. And I hope the playoffs won't kill the conference championship games, I'd almost prefer the conference championship game as the first round, even though that would be extremely unfair to the SEC.

So... B1G commish actually made his opinion known, and it makes sense.

He says only conference champions should be in the playoff scenario or else teams are going to get screwed the same as they have been.

Which is also a funny jab at Alabama... and well deserved. If you cant even win your division, you have no business in the NC picture, sorry.

The only problem with that is one division SEC SEC SEC is miles ahead of every other division in college football.

It's really probably time for SEC to grab Fla State and VaTech and just go independent of the NCAA.

8/14 BCS Championships, the SEC is already D1 the rest of the current conferences should be demoted.

Either that or combine PAC/Big10/Big12/ACC best teams and have 1 conference that could maybe compete against the SEC, but the SEC would still have the advantage.
