Titans Second-Round Draft Pick (#52): North Carolina LB Zach Brown

The guy is starting to grow on me. How can you be allergic to contact as Mike mayock said and have 105 tackles your senior season?

 

The beast asked me about William Vlachos.

Vlachos was 1st team all sec. He started 35 straight games and anchored a line for a team that won 2 national titles and had a great running game including a Heisman trophy running back.

That alone would seem to be worth a 7th rd pick.

He is built like a nose tackle and considered too short. His arms also too short. Think Jeff Saturday another too short center that had an outstanding career.

He's strong, weighed 319 at the combine. Nobody is going to push him around. Considering what we have at that position i think he can help us.

 

For me Zach Brown is a bust until he proves different. Wtf did they take a project/gamble player over Konz. F'ing insanity.

 

Watching the Missouri game tape you would never draft this guy until rd 4. And that is a game where he had a big hit and an int. But he was terrible in obvious run situations and played like a total puss on a goaline play.

I want to be positive and see how he can help us but if i was running this draft i would have done things differently no question. Brown will make an absolutely sick play and follow it with a bad play. I normally would want a stud run stopping guy but i see how he can help us.

Looking at the draft with 20/20 hindsight we could have went all out on the D-line with Branch-Stills or Worthy-Curry or we could have gone all out on the o-line with Zietler or Decastro-Konz.

I hope they made the right choice.

 

Zach brown is the new breed. Konz is a chump its not like we were the only ones that passed on him

 

A bust until he proves otherwise? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the term bust?

I had a nice post for you until you deleted it from the other thread. Go to the TOMB where they encourage breast feeding from the front office. You want to get in depth and dissect football then stay.

Stop acting like everyone should just accept everything this organization does. Arguing sports is the whole point of message boards, and its why you watch it with friends and family.

I don't understand people like you. If we didn't critique the moves this team made you wouldn't have a board to post on.

It's fine to make critiques of the team as long as it's proven that what you're saying is even debatable. For example, some wanted Manning, some didn't - and both sides had their reasons that had been proven. Wrong or right - it was an opinion. And that was cool.

On the other hand, saying a guy is a bust before he even plays a snap is downright idiotic and holds no merit because there is no proof. The kid hasn't played a down of NFL football. At least the people who didn't want Manning had age, money, and a recent injury to argue.

And don't tell me you listened to the talking heads or did a YouTube evaluation like your little buddy Deuce Wayne. Again, that holds no merit.

...and the TOMB doesn't exist anymore or I guarantee you I'd be there.

 

And we have plenty of film of this guy showing he is an inconsistent tackler. Despite what you say, has plenty of merit. If he can be corrected by coaching great, sure hasn't helped Griffin though. Again, get off the teet.
