I will say this. I feel similar about guys like Coples, but would not absolutely hate that pick if we got Coples. For whatever reason, I do not mind reaching a bit for athletic ends as opposed to tackles.

But Poe is my least favorite defensive line prospect suspected to go in the first. I would be pretty upset with the pick because I know, safer picks will be there and it will fill a position of need more so than defensive tackle. I also doubt that Poe would be the BPA as well.

We need a DT who can get in the backfield.. not just be a body.

    Thats Klug

but I agree, we do need another guy, like mentioned earlier, Klug is situational. Poe just strikes me as a guy who will not make it at the next level.

    Exactly.

Klug is a situation guy, who gets in the backfield later in games. We need another Jurrell Casey.

I don't prefer a tackle taken in the first, but as long as it was not Poe I would be okay with it. Really, outside of Jeffrey, and Poe, I can tolerate just about everyone mentioned that we may get. Gilmore is kinda......eh. But I think we can find a tackle in the second or third round that could be the other guy.

    I'm a big fan of:

    1st: Michael Floyd, WR, ND
    2nd: Brandon Thompson, DT, Clemson
    3rd: Jamell Fleming, CB, Oklahoma
    4th: David Molk, C, Michigan
    5th: Best DE Avail

I used to be widely against taking a receiver in the first, but right now Floyd might be my favorite pick. I would love Ingram, but I doubt he is there.

Yeah I really like Floyd & Ingram... but I think they'll both be gone.

Do we take a huge risk on 28-reception Stephen Hill?

Definitely who he reminds me of undersized but extremely athletic and instinctive which is the most important attribute for a LB in my opinion. I think he can add some weight but at Will he doesn't have to be huge and his sideline to sideline ability and coverage skills would be a welcome addition to what we are used to and the perfect compliment to our other LB's. We would have one of the best LB corps for years.

I can't wait I will be glued to the TV for 3 days from the first pick to the last.

Boom or Bust written all over him. Crazy measurables to work with so hopefully he can put it together. They compare him to Ngata who had similar stats coming out. I like Rocker and Millard to mold they kid into something. He should definitely keep lineman off our LB's at first while he hopefully developes his incredible talent but I see the concern. A lot of DT depth this year and if we can grab a good one and Morgan stays healthy we should definitely take a nice step forward defensively.

    I hope not

Normally, I have one or two guys I really want. This year, everyone just kind of blends in and plenty of good players will be on the board without having to reach for someone. We seem to have gotten a pretty good draft strategy down and I would hate to have another first round bust because we decided to make a reach.

This team needs to do better with its first round picks if we want some "superstar" players to stay on the team.
