I believe he's gone by 12-15. If he were to slip and we take him, put McCarthy at weak-side and keep Ayers at strong-side. Wouldn't mind having those 3 at our linebacker spots for quite a few years.

I think he is gone at Buffalo. Yes at 10, they just switched to a 4-3, picked up a defensive end and need a linebacker. And he is the best in the draft.

I see a guy that has a ton of tackles but with that video I dont see anything really impressive. Just has a ton of tackles, similar to Tully's game

If we went linebacker I would prefer Hightower. Put a thumper in the middle and move McCarthy to WLB

We still get burnt by opposing TEs all the time. Witherspoon is average, at best. Yes; we need help in the trenches....

but look at Jurrell Casey; he was a 3rd rounder. Look at Klug; he was a 5th rounder. These guys made an immediate impact. Add another Casey and Klug to our team to pair with them plus Morgan and Wimbley and we have a solid DL and three young stud LBs.

Why would we put McCarthy on the weak side?

I'm with JCBRAVE, if anything Luke would go to the weak side.

We've always had trouble with TE's, that's half of why Fisher jumped on Cook. No one in the league is well equipped to deal with the better TE's.

If we were able to go BPA ok maybe use the 20th pick on Kuechly, but we have 3 needs we must fill.

If Hightower is there I would shift McCarthy to W and leave Ayers as the Sam. I wouldn't draft Luke

I agree with you Amigo, but you gotta admit:

    1st - Kuechly
    2nd - DE/DT
    3rd - DE/DT
    4th - C

is a solid draft. Any center is better than Amano. We'd get young D-lineman, that hopefully would have a Casey/Klug effect there rookie year. We'd likely have the youngest front 7 in the league with loads of potential.

I will admit adding Kuechly would be nice, but it would be a luxury pick we just can't afford to make right now.

I mean whats the plan? Draft him to take McCarthy's job then move McCarthy to the weakside to get wasted? McCarthy is equally as good right now and allows us to focus on areas of need.

We'd be better off taking Kuechly to replace Ayers actually. But thats another dumb move cause we just got Ayers and have big plans for him.

Maybe we do get Kuechly and push Ayers to DE?
