I was just looking over some of the draft prospects and found some intriguing 'sleeper' players. I was just wandering who everyone's sleeper prospects are....

Here are the guys I found:

    Jason Slowey, OG, Western Oregon

He was a DII All-American LT from Western Oregon. He measured in at 6''2.5 305lbs at his pro day so he obviously projects as a guard. He had 38 reps at 225 and looks pretty good on tape against poor opposition. He sounds like the kind of project that Matthews and Munchak can turn into a star.

Dale Moss, WR, South Dakota State

Read about him on one of the draft websites. He has only played football for one year after playing basketball for three. He's a 6''3.5 213lbs WR but his drill times are amazing:

    40yd dash: 4.45 seconds
    Vertical leap: 41.5 :brow:
    Broad jump: 10'10
    60yd shuttle: 10.82 seconds
    3 cone drill: 6.32 seconds

Of course it's not all about stats but he would be a good UDFA pick up and a project that could turn out being someone special.

Adrian Hamilton, DE, Prarie View A&M

6''3 255lbs DE from a small school. He played against poor opposition but exhibited a repertoire of pass rush moves. Got 22 sacks in his senior year, yes 22. Wouldn't mind using a late round pick on him he would be good in our scheme.

North Dakota St... we draft Nick Schommer from there a couple years ago. Maybe he's on our radar.

    20 Shuttle: 4.12 (T6th)
    Vert: 38.5" (7th)
    Broad: 10'04" (8th)
    3-Cone Drill: 6.73 (2nd)

    (20 Shuttle & 3-Cone are Pro-Day Results)

As a freshman and a sophomore he caught only a total of 21 passes in a backup role (also had a knee injury). In 2010 he played a more prominent role catching 56 passes for 746 yards and 7 touchdowns. His senior year, he exploded for 90 catches for 1,276 yards and 8 TDs on Illinois who has a terrible passing attack. Our QB is NOT a QB, and we had nobody but Jenkins.

Jenkins was projected as a 6th-7th round pick at the start of the year. Worked his way up to 4th-5th for his excellent season. After his combine performance I see him as a 3rd-4th rounder. However, most sites have him projected as a 5th rounder.

AJ has a great burst and an AMAZING route runner. He always seems to shake free and get opened. AJ was doubled every game in the 2nd part of the season, and still put up numbers even with a terrible QB. Great cuts. His best route is the 5-10 crossing route, and the 50 yard deep ball. Very good YAC player, and not afraid to give up his body for a catch. Jenkins is still raw, but has great talent and all the tools to be a legit player. A.J. Jenkins will be a Mike Wallace type of player in a couple years...

Great call on Adrian Hamilton, would love to get him, 22 sacks in any division is ridiculous.

TE David Paulson from Oregon is rated as a 7th rounder by CBS, so therefore he's my sleeper pick. Not a good blocking TE put has elite hands and route running for a TE.

I like A.J. Jenkins as well but I doubt we use a high enough pick on a WR to be able to get him.

Thanks to Nick Schommer, Dale Moss may never get drafted.

Donte Paige-Moss. The other DE from NC. He's injured right now but could be a value pick late.

Look's like one of my sleepers might get taken by us......click on this link: http://www.wouwolves.com/news/2012/3/19/FB_0319122945.aspx

The front page picture clearly shows Jason Slowey talking to one of our senior scouts. I want the guy in the 7th round, apparently he had an excellent workout as well.

I have faith in our front office after last year draft, I love the Jason Slowey pick in the 7th round. I still feel Munch and Bruce can produce talent and getting these small school kids in the later rounds, will allow the beginning of the draft to play out nicely for us.
