    weak or competitive?

Oakland and San Diego could be tough this year. KC with Charles and Cassell and that defense who knows.

Broncos could see themselves in last place and I wouldn't be shocked.

In the South he had 4 gimmie wins against the Colts and Jaguars. That means he wins 5 of the next 12 and he's more than likely in the playoffs one step closer to his goal.

The West usually beats itself up those teams play each other so tough. Peyton won't sniff the playoffs..

What makes everybody think Peyton is as loyal to the state of TN as the state of TN is to him. I know that he is revered in TN but the guy basically just shat upon the fanbase here. It is OK to NOT like the guy for that reason alone. F him and his big jug-head. The Raiders, Chiefs, and Chargers will dismantle him.

Manning is a rational guy and the Titans were NOT his rational choice. Who gives a flying F why he chose Denver. Good riddance to the guy. He is out of our division now. The fanbase wants to get the "no Lombardi" monkey off our back so bad almost all of us got swept up into the frenzy. Bud was smart to make a run but it did cost us the opportunity to land Myers and/or Wells. That is what really hurts. We weren't ever going to land Mario or John Abraham. Now we will most likely put lipstick on our FA pig andoverpay for somebody like Wimbley.

I'm perplexed by one thing. I received an e-mail last week during the height of the Manning-chase, offering additional PSL's for sale in virtually EVERY section. I think we are about to see our first non sellout season. Part of me suspects Bud most motivated to make a grandstand attempt for Peyton in order sell those PSL's and season tickets. It's no coincidence that we are seeing modest stadium upgrades to improve the gameday experience. Bud won't spend until he has too. Which brings up another point I want to make. Yes- thank you Bud for your ATTEMPT to land a big name FA. But let's be real. You didn't. You hardly ever have. Your reputation for not doing so has been well earned irregardless of the reason why. So yes, until I hear the details of what WE offered Peyton, I am a bit skeptical about how all of this went down.

Like another poster said, the sun will rise tomorrow. It will cast the same light as usual on the Titans FA period. No really big names, lots of cap room left. Bud wins again.

It wasnt just the money, it was the level of commitment they had toward him. its pretty dumb.

People sell Bud short. Yes he meddles at times, but he doesnt meddle in such a that it cripples our franchise inthe long run. Thats what the Brncos did.

(VY& Leinart were both busts, dont try)

Denver ran the ball alot due to not having a capable QB. Demayrius Thomas and Eric Decker can be legit targets. Broncos also have a solid front 7, just need to improve their secondary.

OK, can't argue with that...maybe I put too much faith in the "whatever it takes" comment.

Totally agree on the real reason he was doing this though....it was for butts in seats, and orders for merchandise IMO.

Thank God. So happy that ole' Noodle Neck won't ever be wearing a Titans jersey.

    As for the decision:

From a football point of view this can go either way. Denver has a fairly pitiful OLine, and I imagine part of what made Tebow so exciting was that he could get out of danger and make big plays. I have my doubts that Manning will have the same abilities. That said, Tebow's passing abilities were about as effective as those of a 12 year old girl, whereas Manning, in the past, is a HoF QB.

From a business point of view, this was outright retarded. Tim Tebow was the biggest story in sports last year, and the Denver Broncos pretty much became a beloved team by everyone who goes to church every Sunday. Now Denver has stabbed last year's biggest story in the back. So congratulations 2012 Broncos, you're this year's Miami cHeat.

Also, I imagine Kyle Orton has the biggest grin in the history of teeth today...

yes but we could of tried to sign mario over manning which we should of because pass rush was/is our biggest need and im not exactly sure how much the contract is worth to them but i would of rather thrown extra money at a younger guy that is coming off a less serious injury than a qb that came off neck surgery...

I certainly would have prioritized Mario over Manning based on needs. But no doubt that Manning would improve the Titans revenue more than Mario would have. I think that is what motivated business Bud to approach it the way he did especially since PSL's are unsold and it took longer to sell out games last year.

    Quote from Bud

“I absolutely was going to pay him,” Adams said. “And I was going to pay him to be with us until he was ready to be buried. And I was going to take care of him. I was going to spend a lot of money on him. But he didn’t want that. He wanted to be somewhere else and I can’t do anything about that.

“He knew about what we were going to pay him, and it was going to be a sizeable deal.”

Just doesn't say anything concrete. Every owner of teams that didn't get him can SAY the same thing. (except maybe the creepy "buried" thing...)
