Can we at least agree that he is better than VY?

I was there. Totally worth the 7 hour drive and hotel fee. The Panthers fans cheered once... when Hasselbeck threw that dumb pick.

I was going nuts when Mariani returned that punt for a TD on our first possession.

RG3 is not a running/hybrid QB. Most people believe that because he is black and can run fast. But he can pass really really well. And yes, if he was white people would have him rated higher than Luck.

Totally agree with OP. I wouldn't mind seeing the colts draft luck, he doesn't have a very good arm and doesn't run well enough to offset that. He does have goos size and intelligence though. I'm not sold on Griffin either, he's a poor mans Vince Young

I think he is so hyped for a few reasons.

    - First, he fits the mold that the media likes. Articulate, well-spoken, from a wealthy family, with a dad that they know. It is the same reason Peyton gets PRAISED for walking off the field without shaking hands.

    - Second, they latched onto him early and he proved to be actually good and his team won. Jake Locker was the same way, but he and Washington both struggled throughout his career. It is hard to hype a guy when he is getting banged up and losing.

Just because he played in a plain bread offense at Stanford doesn't mean that he can't go out and chuck the ball all over the field. I do tend to agree with the 2nd tier statements -- and that not a bad thing at all.

160 running attempts and he's not a hybrid QB? 140+ attempts in his 3 starting years.

Strange how Andrew Luck only had 47 attempts. And never more than 60 in his years as a starter.

I thought "running quarterback" meant black. I saw his parents and they are definitely all running quarterbacks, but his fiancee is not a running quarterback.:D

All the people who buy the Luck hype have never seen him play.. I heard Colin Cowherd say that he was shocked that Luck could run a 4.59 40 yard dash... Anyone who's watched one andrew luck game isn't shocked by that... You can even tell that from his highlight reel posted by the OP but Colin was the biggest Andrew luck fan in history last season and when ESPN jumps on a bandwagon, the rest of the nation seems to blindly follow

Ehh, sort of. Yes he had some limitations because he wasn't dedicated, but he was also physically limited too. How can anyone catch balls from a guy who looks like Uncle Rico throwing a football?
Vince could nail a 40 yard bomb, but couldn't connect with a guy 3 yards in front of him in open space.

And you've also got to remember he was constantly hurt. So his shortcomings came from both mental and physical issues. Bad mix for a QB.

But he did have some moments that fooled us all. At times dude looked like a top 10 QB.
