Comparing someone to Tony Romo is as bad as comparing them to Vince Young.

Dennis Dixon has 2 rings too. Not sure what that means for him as a QB.

Luck uses his legs more than RG3!! I've never been that impressed. I'd rather play Luck 2x per year also.

I said pretty much the same thing, shortened, in another thread the other day.

Before the season, I was worried when the rumors about Peyton being out for the season were spreading because I knew they'd be the worst team and end up drafting Luck. Now I'm hoping they draft Luck, and not RG3.

But don't tell them not to buy the hype! We want the Colts to fail

Actually he has one, but backups getting rings obviously means nothing, one way or another.

You also said Cam Newton would suck.

As far as Mel saying he's the best prospect...

He also said Matt Leinart and Jimmy Clausen were the best QBs of their draft class...

Luck has upside... Second tier qb. Needs good run game just like Stanford had. Not Peyton. Rg3 has some stupid deep accuracy.... Meh.

His arm didn't look weak at 1:06. Guy is getting tackled, and still throws the ball 50 yards down field right to his receiver. I've never watched him play before the video you just posted DW, but the guy looks like a smart and impressive QB to me.

Is he going to come into the league and dominate with the Colts right away? Not a chance. But in a few years, I can see him living up to the hype the media has created about him *now*. :)

I pretty much agree with Deuce on this. He's good, but all this hype is really getting out of hand. I live in Seattle so I watched a decent amount of PAC12 football this past year and I honestly didn't see anything that blew me away from Luck.

Don't get me wrong, he's a good QB that played for a good team but he was rarely asked to do much more than manage the game. I think he'll do fine in the NFL, he's got the physical skills needed to do well and he's pretty smart. Nothing has shown me that he's Peyton/Brady/Rodgers good though. Not saying he can't develop into that, but it's a big stretch.
