Keep in mind, unless youre drafting an AJ Green type, it takes most WR's a while to adjust to the NFL. Even Kenny Britt took months to grow into a dynamic WR his rookie year. No way we draft a guy in the 3rd or 4th round and can expect to be able to count on him early next season. And for that reason, I dont think drafting another WR is the way to go.

Why draft a WR who won't even be activated half the time.... We still have to keep a spot open for Mariani for return duty.

Not if we can find someone else that can return.

I really like Mariani, but I think his job could very well be in jeopardy because of the KB situation. Since the WR position is so uncertain because of KB's health, WR roster spots are valued at a premium right now. The spots need to be used on WR's that can actually come in and contribute as a WR. Mariani just hasn't shown that he can do that. If we draft or sign anyone with return skills, then Mariani may very well lose his roster spot to someone that can actually play the position.

Hopefully Mariani steps up this offseason and shows that he is developing as a WR so they can keep him though.

I think with the performance of Washington last year, it will confirm to the Titans that Nate can hold the #1 spot down if Britt were to go down again.

Highly doubt we sign a big name WR. Let's take a strong look at Nick Toon in the 2nd round. Hopefully Alshon Jeffery will fall to us in the 2nd. I got a feeling he will fall big time.

Titans need a guy to replace Britt, 1 more leg injury and he's getting reduced.

uggghhhh that one was rough ...

Kinda miss the Yancy Thigpin and Carl Pickens moves though; People forget about these I think and they came during our hayday, I remember they both were pretty solid in their prime with Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, respectfully. Of course the Titans have a tendency of grabbing WR's like these out of their prime ... see Randy Moss.

Why is everyone happy with the receivers that we have?

Britt is a beast when healthy he started 16 out of 48 games 3 injuries in 3 years.

Yes Washington played his heart out this year and he barely got 1000 yards which is not a huge accomplishment anymore its more of a standard if your the full-time starter you should get a thousand. He is not a legit 1. If he was any team number 1 threat I would be still stacking the box, he does not require additional coverage.

Williams made huge strides this year and I hope he picks up from where he left off last year but this is much improvement that needs to be made. I still see him as our future number 2.

Say we don't go receiver at all this draft than the next 2 years Britt is still injured (knock on wood) Washington is in his 10th year lost his speed and we didn't draft anyone. All we have left is Williams.

Say we draft someone Britt stays healthy than we have multiple threats will Cook, Williams, Britt, Possible Washington, and whoever we draft.

I was a Bengals fan before a Titans fan and Carl Pickens was one of my all time favorites. He was seemingly healthy his last few years with Cincy and was producing, but he wasn't as explosive as he was around '95 or '96. I watched him playing in a charity basketball game in Knoxville after his 17 TD season and he drove baseline and did a reverse dunk in traffic over other NFL guys and he was dunking all over the place. I watched him play a charity game the summer he went to the Titans and he was doing layups on break aways.

Bengals released him, Titans sign him, then he has some terrible hamstring injuries. People forget that he went to the Cowboys after the Titans, but never appeared in a game...

Only 19 players in the entire league had 1000 yards receiving. He's not a superstar, but he was a number 1 receiver this year.

Look at the other 13 teams I am willing to bet either that receiver did not have a capable QB, missed playing time, or is not a legit #1

When Britt is healthy the team is a different team Washington does not change the game like Megatron, Fitzgerald, White, etc. guys that demand rolled coverage who teams have to respect that that when he is on the field we can't leave him one on one.
