If we did consider him, I would not draft him, but wait after the draft if he is still available. If not, good luck to him and the team who drafts him.

Is he going to the combine? I wonder how he will do though? I'm sure people's perception on someone will change once they put up some crazy numbers in the combine.

My mind is still set not to draft him, but wait til after.

Ask any reporter and theyll tell you he is the nicest guy off the field. He is one of the only leaders on this team. Half the fans in the league can't name 5 players on the Titans, so I don't care what they think about my team's players.

Yup, he got an invite. He has supposedly posted 4.3 40s. This guy is a pure athlete. If he is available after the draft, he must have killed every GM's puppy or something. You'd be crazy not to take a late round chance on this guy.

Oh I know Finnegan is a nice guy, but so is Ruud, and he doesn't help the Titans any next year.

All I'm trying to say is some GM is gonna look like a genius when they draft him in the 6th round

That's fine, I don't hate the guy, just don't want my team I root for to get burned in the event he doesn't turn into a great FS. Been there done that 3X.

You're not gonna find many "great" players in the sixth round

That's my point though. You keep good players on your team because of how they can contribute on the field. How much did Kenny’s off the field issues really effect the Titans when it comes to game time? I’d say it didn’t effect it at all. So why avoid a guy like Jackson, who could be a starter from day one, just because he has off the field issues? It sounds like you’re saying that if the player is proven in the NFL, then it’s ok if they have off the field trouble. But what if a player has similar trouble but wouldn’t cost much to have him on the team? I think the risk is minimal because it’s harder to hit on a 6th or 7th round player. The risk/reward payoff is really high on him.

Jackson more or less will be gone by the 4th round, so thinking we can get him in the 6th/7th because of character concerns is pushing it, well maybe not, Blount went undrafted so I guess this logic is possible, IMO just unlikely.

Secondly, Kenny like I said is a proven NFL talent, Jackson not so much, so the risk is too much IMO, and also look at what we've gotten with our 6th and 7th rounders, all high charter guys. McCourty, Mariani, Campbell, Otto, Finnegan, all great people.

I personally just think we are fortunate enough right now not to have to take a risk on him.

IDK if I'd call McCourty "great" just yet, but Cortland was a 7th rounder, he's been pretty good so far wouldn't you say....
