He is maxed out. He has trouble keeping his weight on as it is.

We do not spend big money on big free agents. Get over that. We will straight watch every top FA go long before we put a bid in.

On to the draft... You want a DE (we will get a journeyman in FA) which one stands out to you? And MIGHT be there when we pick? DE is a top position pick behind QB and LT... Teams WILL reach. Coples will be long gone. Ingram and Upshaw are 34 OLBs. After those we are in the second tier.

I agree DE is the biggest need and that's without or without Jones at DE/DT. Casey & Klug should start next year at DT

I love Klug so don't get me wrong. He's not a 3-down lineman, he is a pass rush specialist. At a small 270 he will get mauled by lineman wore down and be ineffective. He came to college at 205lbs, and got to the NFL at 275 and losing weight. (Thank you to Ensconatus link). Now I don't know how much you guys know about lifting and weight gain, to do it properly it takes time. You can't just gain 30lbs of muscle like nothing. Realistically 10lbs is what most people gain in a year if you try to gain mass. Athletes bulking can do 20-30lbs but that comes to risk of losing speed. It's hard for them to quick gain bulk and keep speed. I'm happy with using Klug as part of a rotation in situational play.

Just because someone has some success at one role doesn't mean that they will have even more success at a larger role. See Jason Jones (though he is better at DE than 95% of this board recognizes).

You obviously don't know anything about him. He has very long arms and has tremendous versatility as either a DT, DE, or a 3-4 LB.

Actually his arm span is only 30 1/2 where as Coples is 33 Brandon Thompson is just shy under 33 Derek Wolfe is a shy under 33 Vinny Curry is 32 those are some of the notable players in the senior bowl yes 30.5 is not small but compared to other players the reach is by 2-3 inches. Ingram weighed in at 276 which would make him a DE he is to small to play DT in the NFL, most teams will be looking at him to play 3-4 rush linebacker.
