Kevin Matthews will be on this team for as long as Munchak allows it. Bruce Matthews has already said he'll give his son every opportunity possible to play. But ask yourself this; as bad as the interior linemen played last year, why didn't we see Matthews once? He must really suck if he couldn't play 1 game in place of the 3 stooges.

OL is one of those "pay your dues first" positions on this team. Velasco is finally bubbling up. My other answer has to do with money invested into current players. No one in the FO would have gone for such a money-wasting move. They would rather feel like they're getting value than actually improve there, IMO.

If Matthews can be or back up at FG and punt snapping,it has to increase his value. He did start at center aganist the colts a couple yaers ago

Personally think we would get an extra free starter by trading back into the second and third. That's we're this draft really starts for me. Some real good talent in those areas, that to me outweighs the pickings in the first.

That may be the case. It depends on if there's someone that a desperate team loves enough to trade into our spot. Maybe if Devon Still were to fall, David DeCastro, Janoris Jenkins...someone like that.

It would be hard to pass on Jenkins there but would probably benefit us more if we did.

We have bigger needs, even if Finny leaves. We still have McCourty & Verner, and young Campbell with loads of potential. We could take a CB in the 2nd or 3rd (and we'll likely have 2 3s) and be ok.

We MUST fix our OL, get a pass-rush, and find another safety before we worry about corner.

Hopefully, we'll just re-sign Finny and won't have to worry.

I really wish Copels would stop man handling people in practice. Gonna be hard to get him at 20.

well here is my question...with the news that they might move ayers to de in passing downs that just pretty much says we are not drafting a de in the first....they will draft a situational guy and settle for average....if coples falls and we dont take him ill hunt down each member of our front office and give them a slap on the back of the head just this

Just accept the reality that the very best defensive end in this draft is not going to fall to 20. A premium position like that will get picked by someone in the top ten.

You have to go back to 2004 to find a draft when there wasn't a DE picked in the first 15 picks. 2012 won't be a repeat of 2004.
