Alabama's defense is arguably the best college defense ever. After watching that game, it was a fluke they got beat by LSU the first time. This ALabama team is probably as good as any college football team in years. The Nebraska team that beat Florida by 40 points in the mid 90s I think is the best college team I have seen, but this Alabama team isnt far behind them, if behind them at all.

LSU's defense played really well I though, but when they are on the field the entire game, something is going to break at some point. And Jefferson played like crap obviously, but I dont really even put it on him. The entire offense struggled and was very vanilla. I honestly think Les Miles is one of the top 3 or 4 coaches in the country, but a lot of what makes him so great is how completely unpredictable he tends to be. The championship game they werent unpredictable at all and Bama just sat on the run and option, and LSU never really deviated from it.

LSU did beat a pretty good Georgia team in the SEC Championship 42-10 so what Bama did was ridiculous.

First time was a fluke. The 2nd game proved it.

You guys are sipping that Alabama koo-aid way too hard.

Best defense in years? best team in years?

Give me a break. This team wouldn't stand a chance against powerhouses of the past. No QB is one reason.

8.2 points allowed per game, best in the country.
183.6 yards allowed per game, best in the country.
No. 1 national ranking against the run and pass.
    3 shutouts.
9 of 13 opponents held to 10 points or fewer.
    4 AP All-Americans.
    5 All-SEC performers.

LSU was averaging 38.5 points per game and in the two games this year they still haven't scored a TD.

How many titles did RG3 and Luck end up with? All you need is a defense and a running game.

... while playing a weak schedule all year long.

    That does make a difference.

Apparently you had some trouble reading.

LSU averaged 38.5 points per game, and Alabama held them to 9 points across 9 quarters.
