So your fault is with Miles for not playing Jarrett Lee? Because last time I checked, Jefferson is on LSU's TEAM. And if their offensive leader sucks, well then what do you say about the TEAM.

And just how is that Jefforson is responsible for Alabama's offense hanging 21 points? Or Alabama's offense 384 yards and 21 first downs? Where was that 2nd rated defense?

Outcoached and outplayed-that simple. The rest is excuses.

And again... layoff being a big factor.

Going 3 and out every possession because your QB couldn't hit the ground in front of him sure helps an offense when your defense is on the field all game long.

And it was a garbage time TD that got them to 21.

OK. How about the 21 first downs?

Look- it wasn't the greatest BCS matchup. I agree it was quite boring. But that doesn't (or at least shouldn't) take anything away from how dominant Alabama was. They definitely deserved to be there and proved it against LSU. Championship teams make championship plays. LSU didn't do it. Simple enough. And you have to win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP game to be the national champion.

Sounds like there will at least be a 4 team playoff (although they are calling it a "plus one" format). Should eliminate a lot of doubt about who really deserves to be national champ in the future. I'd like to see 8 but there is no way that will happen.

I agree Alabama was dominant- but I think there's more fault on LSU there than kudos to Alabama.

lsu defense was a bend but dont break all game until the garbage time td came...if les wasnt an idiot and played lee after the horrible first half my jefferson then they may of had a chance...i saw a thing on espn the other day showing the stats for lsu from when jefferson was starting to when lee was starting...and it favored lee by quite a bit...

so lsu d played fairly well giving the fact they were on the field so much to only give up 15 points in 3 quarters....most of the time if that happened in a title game they would win....

i dont think the layoff hurt because for the most part lsu team played fairly well besides the qb position which is the main position that needs to show up...he couldnt handle the pressure...plain and simple...

Well... the stats for Lee over the past two meetings with Alabama come out to something like 7 INT and 1 TD. In fact, he was pulled from the first game because of back-to-back INTs. So I'm not sure he would have done much better.

Then again, 1 TD is more than Jefferson managed against Bama.

Jarrett Lee was in the doghouse because he didn't graduate in December, which would have free'd up a scholarship. Now one of their guys is going to have to suffer a "career ending injury" during the summer to get everyone in....

Speaking of which, Alabama's depth is amazing considering they've had 21 people leave the program the last 2 years. ;)

I will agree that Alabama was the best team in semi-pro football this season and deserve their championship.
