BCS is not perfect, but not as horrible as the OP implies.

I mean the SEC-SEC-SEC !!! has won 6 in a row and 8 of 14 so its clearly showcasing the best team in the country

So how about that ACC? Good thing they're not afraid of a playoff like the cowardly Big 10 and Pac 12. No, they'll lose to ANYONE and wont be afraid to do so.

A bowl game is now a playoff when you're talking about an ACC team getting curb stomped?

Ok, we all agree we want a playoff system. Nothing new about that.

I've linked the playoff system article multiple times on this site. The SEC proposed a playoff system which the ACC accepted, but every other major conference rejected it.

Surely you yankees are as good with google as this redneck.

You keep hanging on to this, but logic doesn't support your argument.

Every conference but one has a legit reason to want a playoff.

    And most openly say so.

So you are going to quote an article by Dan Wetzel which states Mike Slive tried to get all of the other conferences together to make a "+1 game" so he asked a bunch of other people who don't have the authority to institute a "+1 game" to meet and talk about it and they didn't show up so that means they don't want a +1 game.

Okay GoTitaners... If you guys want a +1 game, come over to my house tonight, and if you don't show up, I assume you don't want it. Not that any of you are on the BCS committee. Not that any of you guys are the ones writing the checks, not that any of you are the networks broadcasting the games. It's just a garbage article that doesn't prove anything.

That's one of the worst written articles I've ever read in my life. That rivals Jim Wyatt's piece on Vince Young when VY "never denied" a laundry list of things he allegedly did or didn't do so I guess that gives the reporters the right to start reporting things as fact without quoting the other side of the argument.

Whats funny about the article only one person outside Mike Slive was asked for their comment in regards to it.

I guess a guy who hasn't been commissioner for a few years now, who helped systematically destroy the entire big12 conference as we knew it, is the guy who speaks for the entire NCAA.

This article reeks of shoddy reporting and I really have to question the journalistic integrity of this writer.

In other news, the SEC commissioner held a meeting in regards to making it mandatory for college athletes to wear footed pajamas on the side lines. He invited all of the other commissioners of the other conferences to join. They didn't join the meeting and no one commented about it... Infact, some are even skeptical the meeting ever took place... I was... until UTjrs head coach came out and said "Yeah, I love footed pajamas, they accentuate my toupee."

Apparently, other conference administrators don't like footed pajamas as much as he does and this rule won't be instituted because no one came to their faux, meaningless meeting that doesn't dictate anything to the BCS
