Want is everyones impression with this guy?
They say he's a brutal trash talker on the field.
He's been passed around alot for an 8 year rookie (rookie for us!). Bad lockerroom presence?
Is he a 'keeper"? (I'm not sure how long we signed him for.)

    8 year rookie?

    He's a journeyman and average.

Contract is for 2 more years.40 or so tackles and 1 sack this year.If he was here to stop the run it didn't work statically but don't know about leadership qualities or lockerroom presence.

I wouldn't mind bringing him back for depth. He didn't really stand out much but he also didn't do many things to make me dislike his play. I feel we need depth right now at the position and we should make sure we're prepared to deal with injuries and the wear and tear that you see every year at that position.

His play is nothing to write home about and he is pretty unintelligent, but he is a really nasty guy with a nasty mouth who does nasty things and we need that in the trenches right now.

I like his personality in the trenches so I'd keep him as a depth guy. However, I am disappointed. I spoke with KC fans when we signed him and they swore to me he'd be a gem signing for us.

I think if he impressed with his play like I thought he would, our line would have been MUCH better, especially vs. the run with him & Casey plugging the holes in the middle.

Instead, Smith got pushed around a lot in the run; disappointing for someone his size.

Apparently he struggled to adjust to the 4-3. Hopefully he's got that out the way and can come back next year with a better performance after a full year of being in the system.

I'm guessing coming from a 3-4 team he is used to let plays come to him because usually 3-4 linemen are mostly to take up blocks. He did'nt attack much but he did do well at taking up blocks. I saw McCarthy benefit from being behind Smith more then he did Marks during running situations

He's aight. Made some good plays but also didn't get a consistent push up the middle. Talks a LOT of sh!+ and doesn't exactly back it up.

And the fact that he didn't beat Marks out for playing time tells me he isn't that great because Marks flat out sucks. DT was a need going into this year and it's still a need going into next year.

We need to bring Jason Jones back and move him back to DT. Then either draft an early round DE or try to get one through FA. Morgan should be better next year but he'll need help on the other side.

I don't like the guy, and the reason he talks trash is cause he is trash. He's awful, only good for one thing, locking up blockers. He can't penetrate, and he also cheats. I'd love for him to be gone in 2012.

Anybody wish we still had Downtown Tony Brown?
