OK St handled their business against a far tougher schedule than Alabama did.

Must be nice to be able to lose to the only good team you play all year long- then play chattanooga State Christian Accademy every other game- then get the "they won their games" argument in your favor.

    What a joke.

Yeah in my mind, OSU won the national championship this year. They beat a much more impressive slate of on field talent than LSWHO

They didn't "handle their business", they got beat by a mediocre Iowa State team which is what put it back in the voters hands. I do agree Ok State should have gone over Alabama, but it's tough to say they "handled their business" when they got beat by a team they had no business losing too.

OK State the 6th toughest strength of schedule, and they had a loss. LSU had the 8th toughest strength of schedule, and no losses. Your comment is ridiculous.

And when you play teams with bad defenses, it is also going to skew the offensive #s a bit. Again, that argument goes both ways. LSU held Arkansas to 17 points. Even if OK State has a better offense than Arkansas, LSU still dominated Arkansas so I am not really see your point on that. Hell, LSU gave up over 20 points only twice this year, and held teams to less than 10 points 7 times. I'm sorry but I dont think Ok State is picking that defense apart. I think that would be a 41-24 type of game.

In double OT after having like a 17pt lead...away.

I think we can give them a pass on that one. Especially after the plane-crash that everyone wants to downplay.

Pissing away a big lead makes it worse IMO and Iowa State was blown out twice at home and ended up with a 6-7 record. Iowa State is a pretty average team that had no business beating one of the best teams in the country. And not to downplay the plane crash at all, but from a sports persective, I highly doubt the Ok State football team and women's basketball team were real close. OK State blew it, it's as simple as that. Personally, I think they should have gone over Alabama, and I dont like 2 teams from the same conference in the title game. But, I have little to no doubt that Alabama is actually a much better team than OK State. If OK State had "handled their business", then they would be in the title game. But they didnt and they let the voters decide their fate and it cost them.

Alabama blew it too. So it's irrelevant.

And I love this assuming that Alabama is just "the better team". Says what?... Unfortunately, we'll never know.

Ok State just beat a team that would have been in the Nat Champ game the last 2 years if it weren't for Oregon.

And LSU man handled Oregon this year, so what does that say for Stanford? Stanford gave up 53 to Oregon. Oregon scored 46 combined against Auburn and LSU. Stanford is not a great team. They have a great QB, and good o-line, but their defense and skill position players leave something to be desired. And yes, in college football we have to go on assumptions and will never truly know, but I can't see how anyone watched Ok State last night and thought they could compete with either LSU or Alabama. I think they get beat by 3 scores against either of those teams.
