And not even making it to a bowl game is apparently a win for Vols fans.

Even if the Big 12 supported a playoff or plus 1 it wouldn't have changed anything this year.

Why? The last discussion of this was in 08, of course we would have had a plus one system now if the Big 12, Big 10, and Pac 10 would have gone along with it, and of course Oklahoma State would have been one of those four. But, the Big 12 decided to go along with the Big 10 and Pac 10, instead of the ACC and SEC. The Big 10 and Pac 10 are all about tradition, while the other conferences are far more progressive. The Big 12 is apparently somewhere in the middle, but now that A&M, Nebraska, Missouri, and Colorado have bolted, and one of their teams was left out, they will side with the plus one going forward.

And I'm not VOl fan, so not sure why you directed that comment to me, since it had nothing to do with my post.

He was referring to my post, pretending that I've actually given two shts about the Vols this season.

Well either you're only a fan when they're good which makes you a bad fan or you just root for every other SEC team like Alex.

Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon would have carved up the LSU secondary. Now THIS is a game. Not some pathetic field goal fest like Alabama and LSU gave us. A championship game with 2 game managers at QB, yawn. I hope Monday Night RAW is good that night.

I take the exact opposite view. Neither of those defenses were good. Hell, Stanford gave up over 40 to USC and over 50 to Oregon, so carving that defense up isnt necessarly a great accomplishment. And OK States defense isnt good at all. LSU would have beat Ok STate about how they beat Oregon, 40 something to 20 something.

Yea because Oregon and USC don't have great offenses or anything.

Hey, the SEC fans on here make crazy baseless claims all the time I figured I'd make a baseless claim to. Fact is they proved that they deserved a shot over Alabama which I already knew. But no, we get the rematch nobody wanted.

Oregon was down by 20 to LSU with 13 seconds left, yes it ended up 40-27 because Oregon scored with .13 seconds on the clock and LSU didnt give a **** anymore.

And yes, I have already said I thought Ok St deserved to be there over Alabama, that doesnt mean I think it would have been a pretty game. I promise you, that LSU's defense is 3 times what Stanford's defense is, and Ok State's defense sucks. I wish we had that game so we could have seen a complete beat down, and I do think Ok State shoudl have gone, but to state that OK State would have torn up LSU's secondary (with a first round pick next year, and a Heisman candidate this year in that secondary) is just stupid.

I'm a fan always, I just don't waste my time keeping up with them during this period, like how I didn't bother caring as much when the Titans were absolutely horrendous.. I'd rather not waste all that time and energy into lost causes.
