    random thought:

you know i keep seeing things about Brees and even two others (aaron and tom) about breaking Dan's passing record that stood for 25+ years....

i say thats baloney....he got that record back when receivers weren't Madonna and defense could actually play hard D....

sure they might 'break' it from a statistical standpoint, but thats where it ends!

i am one to believe records are there only to be broken, but not like this

in this sport, more than any other, are records getting broken consistently. sure some (really old ones) are almost set in stone, but with the constant rule changes its almost getting out of hand. seemingly every week now a record is broken.

all im saying is that it ruins what a record stands for, soon in this sport, at this rate, they will all become meaningless

I'm hoping we see a wild crowd on Sunday. This has the potential to be a game that, if the Titans win, could push them to the next level and give them the momentum to win out and make some noise in the playoffs.

The fans need to bring it.

Dan Marino set that record in 1984. The early 80's were known for prolific passing. In addition to Marino, Dan Fout was putting up monster years with San Diego, Lynn Dickey was tearing it up with Green Bay, KC's Bill Kenney was topping the elusive 4,000 yard barrier, as well as Cincy's Brian Sipe.

Marino was loaded with targets including the Marks Brothers, Duper and Clayton, with both going over 1300 yards. RB Tony Nathan had 61 catches and third WR Nat Moore added 573 yards on 43 catches.

People were saying the same thing back then as you are saying now. Defenses were not capable of stopping that kind of game. They were built on stopping the run.

I agree. This is a huge challenge for us and I really believe that if we win this game he will win out and roll into the playoffs on a 5-game winning streak and from there who knows how far we can go!

If The Titans win the media will just call it a collapse by The Saints.
Imagine that - The Saints, one of the NFL's most storied losers..
This is the cred one SB win gets you.

No. That's the cred that you get when you have the 2nd best record (behind Green Bay) in the NFL since 2006.
