  1. Lmao. No one actually bans you dude...you lose the bet you be a man and never post again. Sorry I didn't spell that out for you...gave you too much credit I guess.

Dooley is fielding a team that has relied on ~20 true freshmen 2 years in a row. They are so young that it's sickening...yet awesome because there is a bright future ahead for those kids. Again, it's not an excuse because it's fact. A fact that can't be argued. Another fact that cannot be ignored and one that you still haven't addressed...the loss of 4 of their top players (Jackson, Hunter, Bray, Lathers). 4 players that were going to be HEAVILY relied on. Gone. Done. This staff has potential to be very good but they're not miracle workers...I'm still waiting on you to tell me how many teams could lose players of that caliber and still be good. Crickets, crickets.

I'm not blindly following Dooley. I support him because he's the coach of my program but I don't know how good he'll be. YOU DON'T EITHER. I am, however, levelheaded enough to wait until he's playing with a full deck before I completely judge him. He may be awful and get canned next year...or he may be legendary...or he may be just good enough to keep his job a la Mark Richt. I don't know...no one knows. You're just one of those guys who hated the hire from the beginning and just refuse to acknowledge any circumstance or progress. Sadly, our fan-base has plenty just like you.

If nothing else, Dooley will replenish the completely depleted roster that Kiffin and Fulmer left behind. He's recruiting very well...another fact that can't be argued. Maybe he can't coach them, but he's definitely getting them here.

  2. 8 wins is the base-line and 9 wins will be reachable. Anything less than 8 and there will be plenty of pressure on Dooley.

A win against a conference opponent that isn't Kentucky.

Agreeable but I still think they should win the east or bust. Florida is down, USC will be about the same and Georgia may improve a bit. Still it is UGA... game you have to win at Tennessee.

You make valid points but still nobody can give me anything that Dooley has done on the field to prove he is capable of doing great things at Tennessee. What happened Saturday was inexcusable. Dooley should catch hell for it in my opinion. We were blown out by an Arkansas team that barely squeaked by Vandy. The program at Vanderbilt is in no better condition than Tennessee's. James Franklin has done more at Vandy in one season as Dooley has in two. Please go ahead and tell me Vandy has better talent on the field than UT. There is no way.

My attitude is not representative of a majority of the fanbase. If anything Tennessee fans have become so apathetic it is scary.
Tennessee fans have accepted their place in the basement of the SEC and hope for better days 3 and 4 years down the road.

Tough times in Knoxville when you are breaking records for conference losses and blowout beat downs.

    Just one?

    Win the east.

  7. They will battle UGA for the east next year....UGA will be a VERY good team (or at least they should be). Grantham is a great DC. Murray is solid and Crowell is a beast.

Dooley hasn't shown much YET, but this team was rolling before Hunter went down. I know people want to discredit UC because they're a Big East team but they're still a pretty good squad and UT beat them like a rented mule. Hunter was on his way to a possible All American season and when he went down, the team sorta did too. Who knows what this team looks like right now if Bray and Hunter stay healthy all year...they still would struggle, not doubt, but they'd be better than they are now. There's no doubt about it. I just don't understand why people refuse to give Dooley a chance -- I mean at least let him prove he sucks before you start cementing him as a turd.

Nick Saban was a .500 coach for 4 seasons at MSU..and didn't get something that Dooley has already until his 6th season (LSU)...a bowl win. Boosters and the board of trustees at Duke wanted Coach K gone after his 3rd season (lol)...everyone said he was too young and in over his head (sound familiar?). Frank Beamer was awful for like 6 seasons at VT before he turned it around. Jim Harbaugh was 9-15 after 2 seasons at Stanford (he sucks lmao). Mike Gundy -- .500 coach for a few seasons....the list goes on and on. I'm not saying Dooley is any of those coaches, just pointing out that it takes time for a coach to build a program that was a disaster when he arrived.

Support the man and the program until he gets a fair chance to prove he either can or can't get it done. Until then, either accept the situation for what it is or shut the hell up.

He is going to get his chance.
What I think matters little... shocking I know.

If he flops another season I'll be on the fire him bandwagon but I think he gets four years regardless of how things go next year. I reserve the right to b!tch and moan the entire time.

The apathy of Tennessee is just downright disheartening. Those among us who are younger only know Tennessee as a world beater and the past few years of reality have been extremely painful. Seriously I wasn't around for those down decades in the 70's and 80's.

At least you can admit Dooley hasn't shown us much and I'll admit he is facing his fair share of adversity.

There will be little room for excuses next season and personally I can't wait.

Holding Bray back until this game is not coincidental. Dooley knew he had no chance against Arkansas and a freshman could beat MTSU.
He needs to beat Vandy to keep the bowl hope alive. Seems like a smart move to me.
If he can't pull out at least 8 wins next year I believe his days may be numbered.

  10. I reserve the right to btch and moan about a rocket scientist's performance at work too but that doesn't mean I should. But, as they say, ignorance is bliss.

You gonna take the ignorant (lmao) bet or not? I'd love to see you never post here again and I'm sure the feeling's mutual on your part. You're so sure of this game...should be a no-brainer for you.
