Why would we get a guy that sucks as a QB coach to bring our future along?

why does he need to make anyone better? And you repeating he's average doesn't make it true, nor does it matter any in this conversation.

He's a LOT better than Kerry Collins. Therefore an improvement.

Britt was hurt last year too, if you recall.

Names? I gave you names... lol wtf.

And again you're speaking in hindsight. I don't even like Morgan, but everyone assumed he and Jones being healthy would be better than our D-line last year.

Saying he's average doesn't make him average. The fact that he's average makes him average. An average Hasselbeck has been better than Collins, but Hasselbeck isn't going to make Nate Washington or Lavell Hawkins world beaters.

Yep, he missed 6 games, not 14.
You sure did. A stopgap QB and a defensive end coming off a torn ACL.

I thought any production we got from Morgan this year would be a bonus. I said that multiple times throughout the offseason.

And the Jason Jones move to DE has been disastrous.

Wow I'm SHOCKED at some of you guys! Chris Palmer is NOT our offenses issue, not even close.

And until yesterday, this WASN'T Chris Palmer's offesne, it was Mike Heimerdingers. Deuce is claiming C.J. suddenly sucked after Palmer came to town, but that's just not true. C.J. began sucking late last season when Dinger pulled a 180 after losing 6 straight after starting 5-2.

Chris Palmer is simply using what he had, and with no offseason, he had nothing but last years offense.

Chris Johnson had a GREAT first half BECAUSE OF Chris Palmer!

This is very funny you all want to jump down Chris Palmers throat. Jared Cook is the real culprit here, he's slacking MAJOR!

Jared Cook isn't as terrible as many believe. That wasn't even a fumble, IMO. The refs were about to blow that ball dead.

Jared Cook has all the physical talent in the world, he's just dumber than a brick. On the great catch he made against the Bengals the ball was thrown behind him because he was supposed to stop, not keep going across the field. Of course Hasselbeck had to explain this to him afterwards.

Jared Cook is slacking? He was a huge part of why the offense looked good in the first half.

Palmer was hired because few else were available when Munch was putting his staff together. I don't recall ANYBODY on this board liking the hire.

btw- Bud and/or the FO drug their heels naming a HC (intentionally IMO) while other top ranked HC candidates outside the system were being snatched up. We were also essentially left with Munchak which was one of the better few remaining choices albeit still not that good.

We ARE stuck with Palmer at least 1 or 2 more years because of the lockout, he is cheap and it can be claimed this is his first year to implement his system.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I like what Palmer has done. You can NOT evaluate a coordinator based on 1-2 lousy outings. Sure we stalled after the half yesterday, but we couldn't get to Dalton to help our DB's from getting raped by A.J. Green. Hasselbeck was too aggressive with these chity WR's. Which happens to be the exact problem we had week-1.

Let me clarify; I don't "like" Palmers offesne, I actually HATE it, but he's been forced to work with Dingers God awful game plans, that's not on him IMO.

ALL of C.J.'s success yesterday was a result of Palmer adjusting to what he's been dealt.

Yes the play calling was horrendous in the second half but I honestly think Gray has to go first. Look at what Palmer's offense was doing with a healthy Britt.. I think that alone earns Palmer the right to try next year with a healthy Britt and hopefully more depth at WR..

The Defense has more play makers than offense right now and we talked about blitzes, hybrids and all types of cool things, but all I see is a front four rush that can't get to the QB and a soft zone coverage that gladly welcomes 10+ yard passes.

    That's a problem.
