We could get a 7th rounder for him.

Your posts make me think you're like 15. We've seen every other RB struggle behind our line this year. I'm not convinced Harper could get more than 50 ypg which won't cut it.

After this season... who'd want CJ?

If we had traded CJ before the season, we would have been called foolish... until CJ laid an egg with whatever team he ended up with. Then, we'd be smiling with our better team... and money to spend. :D

Barry sanders once had a 5 game stretch with 258 rushing yards on 88 carries and 1 TD (Almost identical to CJ's last 5, now 6 games).. in his 3rd year (weeks 2-6). Just goes to show that even the greatest RB's ever can have bad stretches. Seems too early to give up on CJ completely. You think people were saying barry sucked when he was playing that bad? Probably.

This was just the first person I've looked up. I'm sure almost every great RB has gone through a pretty bad stretch.

So wait...you've admitted CJ is going down hill, losing speed and agility, but you still are holding out hope that he will return to former success and become one of the greatest ever?

No, I'm saying he may not be the same player he was but he is certainly not one of the worst starting RB's in the league, still a top 5 to 10 RB and he is definitely the best on our team. My point is it's awfully early to give up on a player who has been so great for 3 years and even the greatest RB's ever have very bad stretches.
