Gotta admit, I agree with Stacey. I want our new QB way more excited, blurting out things like...

"Oh yea, oh yea, we gon compete. I got his back."
"You know Im a work-in product."
"As guys get older and older and more mature dey start to take off so I'm kinda like in dat mode right now."
"I want to help da Eagles get to a National Championship."
    "Ohhh, Dream Team."

To prove naysayers wrong, all of this wasn't said over the course of a season. Not even over the course of weeks or months. All the above statements came out of the same mouth of a back up quarterback within about a 90 second span of being first introduced to his new team.

I agree, I don't think that Hassellbeck's "lack of enthusiasm" is a bad thing. With this many years under his belt, this is more or less business to him.

That's not to say that he doesn't care, just don't expect him to cry tears of joy on national TV if he wins the Super Bowl.

I think Hasselbeck is pretty level headed. He wants to win a SB, which if fine by me. But, he is a stop gap measure towards the end of his career. I think if he answered honestly, he would have rather won a SB with the Seahawks at some point, which is natural when you spend most of your career their. That doesn't mean he doesn't want a SB now. This is his last stop, so he wins here or no where, and I appreciate the level headed approach, I think it serves him and this team well and I think finally getting veteran/respected leadership from the QB is a good thing. McNair was respected, a short window for him when they really cut him lose. Hasselbeck is respected, and at his last stop, so I dont care which team he prefers a SB ring with, but I do think he wants one, and if he wins one it will be with the TItans at this point.

It seemed to me that he was just being humble. He downplayed his own contributions and played up the other players. He is a PROFESSIONAL, doing a job he is paid big bucks to do. I don't think we will ever see him act like a teenager winning his first game, unlike so many other 'pro' players. Can you EVER see him making statements like VY made? Mr. Hasselbeck is the best thing we've had in long, long time. Unless he gets hurt, we are going to win the AFC championship.

You are absolutely right!!! I think MH is just being humble and not get too carried away, because he just doesn't want to jinx anything. If he says, he is ready and confident to lead the team, he may think that he is new here, so for many other players, he may step on their toes. He is very smart, and he chooses his words wisely. When the time comes, he will know when he is in the right position to speak up. One thing you can see in MH is the modesty and humbleness. Very great, and I commend him on that, guys, I think we have a class act here for our QB.
