But CJ has been consistently great for 3+ years..He's the 5th fastest player to reach 25 100 yard games. I think out of like 50 games. Rex has been garbage his whole life.

ringer was running thru those holes sunday, he had a great game! Harper would have had 200 yards. Hate here is clear!

Bench Amano, put Munchak at center, let MH coach the team, trade for Tim Tebow, win superbowl.

    wait what was the question

Nah he looked good Sunday. Not 30M good. Not even half that good. That's why I don't like the contract, it's like we signed him for what he did in 2008, and it's never gonna happen again.

But hopefully I'm wrong. It's not hard for an NFL running back to drop 100 on the Browns when the game's gone to complete sh+! anyway, but it's a good sign. At least a step in the right direction. If he does good against Pitt, I'll be happy.

I still think they should do a Smash and Dash thing with Harper though to get him assimilated into the offense. He's a terrible overlooked RB that compliments CJs style well. Kind of like Thomas Jones and Jamaal Charles. Jerome Bettis and Deuce Staley. What Marion Barber and Felix Jones were supposed to be until the both sucked. It's a strategy proven to work. It would have worked great last year with LeGarrette, but we let him walk. Don't wanna see the same thing happen to Harper.

That's the problem here. We signed to a huge deal when he was on a decline?

Woah... Anybody think maybe THAT'S the real reason he didn't report to camp? It wasn't because he was greedy or lazy or too preoccupied in his lyrical masterpieces? Maybe he just knew he lost some of his speed and since that's really what he's made of he was afraid of underpreforming and not getting a big number? Hmmm... Maybe. That'd make some sense, there was no reason for him to not come to camp when the Titans announced he would be the highest paid running back. That's the number he got, no more, no less.

    Hope not.

I can't wait until later in the season when CJ breaks one loose in a big game and we see why we paid CJ so much money.

It took him a while to warm up, he missed camp so its expected. There haven't been many holes and he's learning an entirely new offense.

CJ doesn't need to rush for 200 per game to be worth his paycheck. He just needs to be a threat everytime he's on the field which he is. Drop a player back in coverage and he burns you. Cheat a player up and Hasselbeck b*tch slaps you.

Power backs are a dime a dozen, CJ's speed is extremely rare. Wait until the end of the season before an assessment is made. If I'm wrong and CJ does nothing then I'll eat my words.

    Patience...

breaking a run later on in the season won't make up for the runs that went no where the 1st part of the season.

while I agree it took him some time to get in game shape he should know the offense since I would think he had a playbook. If he didn't know it then it means he wasn't looking at it.
He could have been in camp learning and watching instead of sitting at home tweeting about fake fans while his contract was being worked out.

I agree he doesn't need to rush for 200 yds per game to be effective for the team. He can help the passing game and it can help him.

There is just something that isn't right about Johnson this yr

Maybe he knows the difference between the Julian and Gregorian calendars and the changes made to them over the years.

    3) The Return of CJ2K

After averaging less than three yards per carry over the first three weeks, Chris Johnson (+1.3) finally averaged 4.4 yards per carry in this game. Johnson had little help from his offensive line (the team had a -5.7 run block rating), which resulted in over half of Johnson’s yards coming after contact. He set the tone for the game with a 25 yard run which led to a touchdown on the Titans’ second drive of the game. During that play, he ran to the far left side of the field, and with a cut to the sideline followed by a quick sprint, he was able to avoid an unblocked Chris Gocong. It took free safety Mike Adams, the Brown’s last line of defense to bring him down. Some good cuts as well as four defenders missing tackles on him led to his best game of the season thus far.

so we have proof again that the line does suck. which we know, but more proof CJ is dealing with a bad line and his numbers are suffering because of it.
