Again showing your ignorance and your age by not recognizing what college postseason was like prior to the BCS.

Oh let the little Auburn fan have his delusions. Them getting two undefeated seasons on off years is about all they're going to have to talk about for awhile.

In so far as the BCS business, I think some form of playoff system would be good. The only idea I've come up with is letting the winners from the big conference championship games go into a playoff system, and let any high ranked (i.e. top 10) stragglers (like BSU) into the mix as well.

I don't see any major problems with the BCS. Okay, LSU had 2 losses but they still won so that argument isn't valid, if they lost then it would be a problem.

Since the BCS started look who has won the championship, can you make an argument that one of these teams wasn't the best?

    1999- Tennessee
    2000- FSU
    2001- Oklahoma
    2002- Miami
    2003- Ohio St
    2004- LSU
    2005- USC
    2006- Texas
    2007- Florida
2008- LSU (looked at the other BCS games and only other team you could make case for would be Kansas...yes Kansas)
    2009- Florida
    2010- Alabama
    2011- Auburn

Any year in which there is more than one undefeated team in the top ten you can argue it. Any year when there is no undefeated team in the top ten you can make an argument.

The only time the BCS works is when there are two and only two undefeated teams before the bowl selection.

Texas A&M has been pretty much mediocre since they have been in the Big 12, so I don't think I would use that as a measuring stick. Now, if Texas or Oklahoma joined the SEC that would be a better barometer.

The Big 12 is going away faster than I originally thought. I heard today that both Oklahoma AND Texas are looking to join the Pac 10. Mizzou will flee to the Big 10, and the other scrub schools will find minor conferences. We very well may be at the 4 - 16 team superconferences in 3-4 years IMO. I just wonder who will be the East superconference (ACC or Big East)....

So you're just going to leave out other factors? Strength of schedule, injuries, suspensions, fluke game, etc. Some of the greatest teams of all time had a loss in the regular season.

The toughest conference since the BCS started has been the SEC. Should an undefeated team with an easy schedule get in over that SEC team who might have dropped a tough road game? Doesn't even have to be SEC, Pac-12 or Big 10.

Actually I take an objective look at college football. I'm not a delusional fan with a "it could be worse" mindset.
I judge the game by what it could be rather than what it is.
