You guys can't have it both ways. Either the SEC is the most powerful division in college football, top to bottom, or it isn't.

All we'll hear all season long is about how the "bad" teams in the SEC would be competitive in every other conference. Losing by two touchdowns isn't competitive.

I have to give credit to Boise for winning that game, that proves their top 10 ranking. Not top 5 but top 10 yes. They have a top head coach, QB, and their OL/DL look very good. However, if they want to reach the big game they have to destroy that cupcake schedule. As far as UGA goes, if UGA won then it's just the SEC doing work and UGA back on the rise and a loss is just UGA is rebuilding and they went 5-7 last year. That's just how it goes.

I hope Boise makes the NC and plays Bama/LSU so the SEC gets another championship and it will finally shut the boise lovers up.

If Boise State was serious about winning national titles they would have fought hard to join the PAC instead of the MWC.

An 8 team playoff with the current schedule and conference alignment doesn't prove a TRUE national champion anymore than the BCS does (for arguments sake... I have no problem considering the BCS champion the true champion). Then the argument will be that a one or two loss team got screwed. And regardless you have some teams playing peewee schedules while others are playing 6 teams in the top25. A 16 playoff system takes away some meaning from regular season games.

Prior to the BCS system, the boll system was a joke that rarely produced the top matchups that the BCS does.

Everyone cries about the BCS, but college football postseason sucked before and all these quick playoff ideas suck too.

I like how it is now, go undefeated in a major conference and you play for the national title. *unless it's 2004 and you are Auburn... the only true time the BCS failed.

So what are you trying to say here? That the SEC isn't the most powerful division in college football? Cause that's obviously bs.

Or that because Boise State beat what is likely a bad Georgia team that they should be crowned national champions? Cause that's more bs.

How about we put it in context... an impressive road win for Boise State and an extreme embarrassment for what is likely a poor Georgia team.

Hey, if Georgia ends up with only 2 losses on the season then that will favor Boise heavily. But if they end up like last year then I don't see how you can overcredit Boise for this win.

And in 2007 when LSU won the title with TWO losses. Every team in the field had 2 losses, but somehow LSU is crowned champion.

I'm personally looking forward to the day when there are four 16-team power conferences with four conference championship games. MAYBE then we'll get a true national champion.

Until then, college football can takes it's gimmick offenses, no playoffs and illegally paid players and suck my nuts.

I'm saying that people shouldn't be hypocritical. The same people who say that the bad teams in the SEC could be competitive in any conference then make excuses and don't give credit to the teams that drill them.

    And college football is BS.

I didn't say they deserved to be in a playoff for the national title. I'm just saying this all mighty powerful conference BS is a joke. Every year teams are falling to these schools.

Auburn is not top tier. I'll stand by that. They will always be the Alabama Polytechnic Institute to me.
The West Georgia War Eagles. Zero respect for them.

You don't have to bracket 120 teams. I could live with sixteen.

    Any given Saturday.
These other teams deserve a chance. My opinions on college football rock. I don't know what you are talking about.

    I don't have "SEC" pride.

    They should pay the players.

    The NCAA should be dismantled.

The BCS is a joke and I want a 16 team playoff.

College football might be institutionalized slavery.

and... Auburn sucks. It is a really nice interstate exit in Alabama.

The playoff ideas are varied. I personally would settle for 4 sixteen team conferences that have told the NCAA to get bent.

That would put your conference champs in to a playoff. You could have play in games for other schools. "Wildcards" I guess.

Let everyone else go play pointless bowl games.

Just because nobody has a perfect idea yet doesn't mean that there isn't one. Any playoff is better than the popularity contest we have now.
The BCS champion has never been the true champion.
The BCS has gotten it wrong every year.

Competitive =/= winning every game. Anyways, it's Georgia.. like I said earlier, 5-7. BSU hardly "drilled" them by the way. Why don't we see how Texas A&M fares next year compared to their time in the big 12..

I think Texas AM sucks anyway. I don't see how they're ranked in the top ten this year.
