Shut up you are making yourself look dumb alex.

That is not analysis! You could say that about any QB ever drafted or signed! Why then did you use that reference particularly for Newton? You also used the term Vince Young 2.0. Is he also the most recent bust? My gawd what a coincidence both of them happen to be black!

I didn't know there was a statute of limitations on comparing guys. People say Locker reminds them of Favre and he was drafted 20 years ago. Is that allowed in your imaginary world?

You are not getting it. I wasn't going for "analysis".

RUSSELL WAS THE NUMBER 1 OVERALL PICK JUST LIKE NEWTON. If Newton is a bust he would be the latest #1 QB since Russell. Unless someone else beats him to it...

I can't help it if they are both black! Seriously who cares?

VY WASNT #1 AND I DONT SEE HIM AS A COMPLETE BUST YET.

He could be VY 2.0 because they have similar styles. Again not difficult to understand.

Athletic, spread QBs in college don't translate well to the NFL. Sorry if a majority of them happen to be black. I hate the offense and I refuse to apologize for hating the quarterbacks it produces. Still suspect on Locker... they straightened out a little bit up there at UW.

    So....

Russell 2.0 if he is a complete bust at the #1 pick.

VY 2.0 if he fails with the team that drafted him and he finishes his career somewhere else.

    Got it? Excellent.

I haven't compared Locker to anyone. Maybe McNair.... "gasp" he is black!

Sorry from now on I'll be sure to use a little bit of reverse affirmative action in my post and throw in some white people so your feelings are not hurt.

So Pryor could be a partial bust, or a complete bust? Wow deep!

Maybe you could write a half dozen more posts explaining a point that is really no point at all. Pathetic.

You were bashing Newton long before he was even drafted. Get real.

Russell was neither athletic nor did he play in a spread. Keep trying.

Yeah like Alex Smith, Blaine Gabbert and Tim Tebow. Keep trying it's fun!

    Pryor is getting good advice.

When asked about the 5 game suspension he said he'll accept it. He thanked the commissioner for the opportunity to be drafted. "He did not have to do that" Pryor said. "I broke the rules".

That's the kind of bad attitude we can't tolerate!

That was after he ran a sub 4.4 40 at his workout.

Remember when i started this thread some posters said that i had no business even bringing up the subject. Just remember that.

Terrelle Pryor is not a good quarterback prospect. Terrelle Pryor will never be a good quarterback prospect.

The best and smartest thing he said during his workout is that he's willing to play other positions.

^^ I don't see TP being the answer for a team at QB either.

And I'm not a TP hater, as I said before, I see him as Matt Jones 2.0 and think he'll have a good career as a receiver.

RollTide, you are a moron and an obvious troll. Not a successful troll but an obvious one.

After Pryor's workout he should definitely switch to TE. Killer athletic skills. It will be a looonnnng time before he sees the field at QB.

I heard people rave about his speed at the workout, but did not hear much about his passing....did the term "shot put" come out?

I like the comparison to Matt Jones....although Jones was a better passer IMO. He could definitely play in the league, I just do not see him playing the QB position. From what I understand (never paid much attention to the supplemental draft) if he is drafted in round X, the drafting team foregoes round X in next years draft. As such, I definitely do not see him going until the 4th round to anyone.

Raiders just took Pryor in the 3rd round of the supplemental draft. Way, way too high in my opinion. Not at all a surprise, though. The Raiders have proven themselves time and time again to be idiots who fall in love with anyone who is an athletic freak. They don't seem to care if the guys can actually play football.
